Hi mylotters! I really hates waking up early in the morning for work! Gosh I am doing it for almost 7 years but still can't cope up with it.. I hope there is what you call "Flexi time", wherein you can choose what time you want to go to the office as long as you completed the 8 hours requirement a day. This is the dilemma of working with a boss, we have no other choice but to follow with policies... How about you guys? do you find it difficult in waking up early for your work?

I have my cellphone as my alarm clock and no matter how sleep I am, I always try to get up before the time that I should be up. Now that I am no longer working, I still wake up early-4am. I need to prepare the kids breakfast and lunch food. I have gotten used to it. Even if i had a helper before, I do not rely the morning chores to her. I just don't trust her that she would be able to wake up that early.

I can't wake up early in the morning ...my wake up is 8:30 and i get out a bed at 9 am. When i was in korea, i always left my house at 9:30 and would be in school at 10 am. However i worked till 1 am. Currently i am in vietnam but it is difficult to give up my habit, i still go to sleep late and wake up late. I know it is not nice habit, but not easy to change it..

I am maintaining two work. My offline job and my online job. Both are important to me. So I need to divide my time. That is why I need to wake up very early in order to do my online job. (I have a site which have a lot of work to do early in the morning because of a different time zone) After working, I will prepare for my permanent job. Not only that. I still have to travel for 1 to 1 1/2 hours in order to reach the office. That is why I am trying my best to get a high paying online job so that if ever I would attain the amount of income that I am aiming for, I would have give up my offline job already. Although I am not sure if this really happen. But little amount could already help. Have a great day!

Sometimes I do, but it seems my body clock really have adjusted to it, since I can wake up in the morning automatically even without alarm clock. But become your own boss is just awesome. You can be free whether when you want to work and not limited to the fixed time, so you'll have freedom of time. Being a freelance or have your own business definetely nicer.

Funny that we have this discussion right now. =) i guess what i can share is that Even if i am a night person, I usually am still able too wake up early in the morning for work. (That is if i do love my work and like to see the people at the workplace and enjoy being with them) I used to have a work before (i worked there for 6 months) and during these times i have really found myself always just lazy to go to work, every morning i would feel tired, problematic and i feel that it was such a burden going to work. But now in my current work, i feel excited that i have this work because i love the workplace and the environment. I think this is really a big factor going to work that you love or at least like where you are going to.

I felt the same way when i was still a teacher... waking up at 530 am to prepare for my 730 class... that went on for 7 years... after that i worked abroad where i had to wake up a lot earlier... so when i came back i started searching for a job with flexible time... and i was able to find one... i would go to work like at 9 or 10 am... and go home when everything i need to do is finish... that was like a dream job for a lot of people... but things happened so i had to resign... It was great while it lasted... i will working as a public school teacher... and i hope that i would be given the afternoon schedule... i hate waking up early in the morning...

I used to be a regular employee before and i know how hard it is working from 9am-5pm.its kind of boring already for me if you do something in routine which the reason why i started my business now i can work at a time i like and at the pace i wanted.

Yes, I do find it difficult to wake up early in the morning. I am usually up by four in the morning and will prepare for work. I leave home at 5:20. I have this schedule for almost two years now and actually, I think I am starting to coping up. But of course, I am always looking forward for weekends so I can sleep more and rest.

I am used to waking early for work as I have been doing this for several years already . I guess when I'll retire from work, I will surely miss this. Though I sometimes feel tired of this, but whenever i took my vacation, I still miss running for work. I can only stay at home for straight 2 days cause I,am already bored on the third day.

I also don't like getting up early to go to work. The travel, the rush. Everything must be done on or before time. Don't want those tardiness to reflect against those paychecks! I guess we can only get up and go to work at our own leisure when we have a very flexible schedule, or we own our own business. But then waking up early to go to work isn't all that bad. It is also a good reminder that we have been blessed with some means of livelihood for so many years.
