Writing at mylot

Mylot has become an interesting writing experience for me. The pay may not be much as you're first building your portfolio of discussions, but you meet fascinating people from all walks of life and all around the world. We're all writers trying to earn a little extra money, trying to make connections with our fellow people, sharing about our lives, thoughts and feelings, dreams and needs. That's what writers do. We experience something and we write about it, sharing that knowledge with others to help, educate or entertain them. Here at mylot, you get more reader feedback than in other places. And the neat thing is that everyone is getting paid, posting and commenting. Writing at mylot is more than just the money, it's the friendships, too, and learning new things.

Yes, I agree users can also practice English, which is so necesarry nowadays. And when you reagister in mylot the doors open to a new world of friends and fun.

Writing at Mylot for me is all about the support, advice and wonderful friendships that I have made over the last 7 years I have been here. It also keeps my typing speed up. I make no bones about it that I see Mylot as kind of therapy. Whenever I have needed to offload or help when I've been in dire straits I come straight here. It's a wonderful platform for writing, making new friends, learning from others, both new and old. And finding out about other countries, cultures and customs. Priceless in my book, the fact that we are paid is of course an added bonus.

You're exactly right, wolfie. Writing at mylot has so many extra benefits, it's hard to believe we get paid as well. I'm so thankful for the friendships, such as yours, who share valuable information and support when I need it, and enjoy what I have to offer, too. Writing at mylot is a balanced experience.

Hi Belinday, welcome to Mylot!
I think you will find that the more you write, and the more you make friends with people around the world, your viewpoint will change.
Even though all of us here use English to communicate, the way words are used is completely different.
After a while, you may even know the nationality of the user just by reading their posts.

Hi scheng, nice to meet you. Thanks for the warm welcome. I've been here on mylot a few months now, and yes, I do enjoy the different usage of language by people from around the world. I grew up at a uni with lots of foreign students, so I'm kind of used to it, yet it's always nice to meet new friends from different places.

Hello, cvodrey, nice to meet you. Indeed, there are some people who leave really thoughtful, engaging comments, while others are clearly writing something unrelated or meaningless, just to get paid. Of course, there are the really great ones, who leave great comments, subscribe to your post notifications and keep up with your work here, sometimes even point out your discussions that others find helpful. That's a good feeling.

What you said is true. myLot is truly a wonderful site. Incomparable as I may say. that is why even if there are sites which I know could give me more, here I am with myLot. Because the day is not complete without mylot.

I totally agree with you, it is really fun , you can share your knowledge, your opinions with many people and di it from home. At the same time you make money in a very nice way. I like it very much.
