Going to pick up my daughters dad

Going to pick up my daughters dad at the airport tomorrow. It will be his first time coming to see her. She always flies to see him. My daughter will stay at the hotel with him for a week so they can have some alone time. She is very excited to show him around

that's wonderful that you guys can still parent together. i wonder if it is still weird being around him? you can't think of that, though because of your daughter.

We have not been together for 9 years and my daughter is 9 and a half. I have no problem being around him except he gets on my nerves. When we lived in the same town we've always had a civil relationship. We used to go on family trips together and do lots of other things almost every weekend.

That is so nice that your daughter will spend some quality time with her dad. That is what you call a good dad. A dad who may not be in her life 24/7 but will find the time when he can to treat her to a week with him. Its also good that you and your ex are cordial enough to be able to do this for your daughter. Many who divorce can't or won't do this for their former spouses. Which I never could understand. I hope that your daughter's dad arrives on time at the airport. It is so exciting he is coming to see her for one week and it is his first time of doing this. She will have much to tell you when she gets back from the hotel in your local area. Your daughter seems to have a list of places to take him so they will be ever so busy with all the sightseeing.

poppoppop111 Your ex sounds like he does really care about his daughter and you are very forgiving and helpful to let your daughter be with her dad for a week. I hope they both enjoy their time together as thats being a good dad to do that.

That is great that your daughter is going to have the opportunity to spend some time with her father and I know that it has to be very exciting to her that she is going to get to show him everything that is a part of her life.
I also know that when I was younger that getting to stay in a hotel was something that I always looked very forward to so I know that she must be looking forward to that as well.
