But after talking to the lady who was trying to get us to get more money on our income tax. Looks like I'll be going to school fall this year. I'm super excited. I wanted to kind of wait because I just started a new job with Target and I didn't want to boggle myself down with a job that would mainly be full time and then try and go to classes. I was told by the lady with the income tax if I were to go to school and take at least 1 class this year, I would get a lot more back for income tax next year and I'm sure since we just bought a car we'd get even more. So maybe next year we are looking at either getting an extra $3,000 or like up to $6,000 more next year. So that would be really nice and with that we will be able to pay off the car next year too. I'm still not decided on what I will go to school for, but I will probably take 2 or 3 classes. Because the price would be the same if I took 1 or 3 classes. Wouldn't matter. But then the thing is I don't want to have too much on my plate with a job and school. The hours at my job are perfect cause I could just go to school right after work and plus I'd have weekends off. So here's to going to school. Got to get all my stuff together so I can be sure to go to school in the fall.

Good for you. I also started out slow when I decided to go back to school. I only took 2 classes my first quarter and now I am full time. You are right about being not having too much on your plate, because some of these classes take up a lot of time. I am on spring break now, and so I decided in my one class, that I would go ahead and do next weeks lesson so I am not so overwhelmed...

I'm not sure I'm torn between two majors right now. I was either thinking of just majoring in early childhood education, I was thinking of being a teacher or I'm thinking of being a science major and be a middle school science teacher I love science. I was thinking of being a medical technologist, but after finding out I'd have to work with needles I decided against it. I also read that the school workload is really stressful and requires a lot of study time. So I'm just going to stick with being a school teacher.

Going to school to better your self is always the best thing to do but use caution that it does not over work you and conflict with your job you should inform your boss that you are thinking of going back to school and see if they would be able to keep you at a set hours and then find classes around that then always give your self enough of time to study

Yeah I plan on discussing with them about it to make sure I'm out by the time school starts for me. I pretty much have a set schedule though, so there would be no interference. So I should be good. But yep you're right going to school to better yourself is always a good option.

You will do well and get more money to pay off the car. And that would also mean that you would probably get a promotion at Target.

It would help you pay off your bills and maybe your house if you have a mortgage. With the interest rates now, it would be easier then it was back in the seventies when my late husband and I bought our first house.

It would be nice to get a promotion at Target we will have to see. But more money is something I would definitely look forward to.

hi trisha yes its best with working full time not to take too many classes so you also have time to study as well as work and still not overload yourself with too many hours. You also should have a little time for rest too. lol

Good for you. And I hope everything works out for you and your job and school. I am also going to school in the fall. I have finished my degree in the Philippines and I need to take a few classes to get the degree transferred and recognized here in the States. Then from there, I'll see if I can take the board exam so I can practice my license here. I will see. But that will change a bit if ever I get a job the classes that I need to take might take two years to finish. Well, that is if I ever get any of the 2 jobs that I have been vying for. Good luck to us!

Yeah its taken me so long to go back to school. But after talking to this lady with our income tax and after all her advice, I was like it really is time for me to stop putting off. I got the money, why not go back to school. So I'm going to be putting money to the side make sure I have enough. And just go already.
