Cooking and gender differences

In our country (and culture), cooking is associated with the female figure in the house. Often, it is the mother who is expected to be adept in cooking and preparing food. Cooking and food, they say, are the easiest ways to charm a man. I don't know, but cooking really doesn't have an appeal for me. If you are going me a chance to choose between cooking or repairing a light bulb up the ceiling, I'd choose the latter. Are there any other female in here who feel the same way about cooking? Or do you think I really just need an inspiration to do it?

I think if a woman is good in cooking it is a plus point that she can feed her partner and family well. But it is awesome if a woman can do the repairing of light bulb up the ceiling like your example. My mother can do both, she is good in cooking and she can fix the broken things here in our house that my father supposed to do but he is not always at home. So I think my mother is awesome because she can do what a man can do.
