Accidentally denied

Crap happens from time to time and maybe if the person tries to add you up again and ask why you denied him/her of the honor of being your friend then you can explain but nevertheless it already happened and we cant do anything bout it. i believe it also happened to me with my accounts on other sites lol anyways thanks for sharing and if you dont mind i would like to add you up as one of my friends in here im just new and still trying to learn lots of stuff in here too :) cheers and have a great day!

This is terrible, I did the same thing on a few websites ages ago :( But it was not your fault, you did not mean to, it is sad you are not friends but you can try to find them again like you say. When you were on the page for accepting or denying his request, bearing in mind I am new and have never done this before so I do not know what the page setup/system is like, was the whole page dedicated to him? "acsofk wants to be friends accept or deny?" Because it might be worth navigating back on your browser to see if it reloads or even if the page was shared between other friend requests you had going on. The reason I saw this is because sometimes browsers are silly in a great way. If you hit deny the request will not appear back when you go backwards, unless it is a weird glitch, but it may load the page again which means you can grab their username. I have done countless exploits like this for good- the most common being typing a long message on facebook and hitting another button/link! And usually going back actually reloads the page with my text still in the status box meaning I can post or if there is some error just copy and paste and try again on another page or by refreshing. Otherwise, is there not a list that tells you denied or recent friend requests? I know it's a long shot but another idea in case Mylot did that foe some reason.

Such accidental mistake is bound to happen. It is unfortunate for the person who requested as rejection is the last thing in their minds. It heappened to me once but luckily I remembered the username and managed to track him down and send my friend request instead. That person might be wondering why it turned out to be the reversed. He never come back to inquire so I assume he just let it pass.

I wonder what happened when we hit the 'deny' button on FR. Will the requester get notified of the denial? Or will he/she just have to figure it out when the request disappeared from pending yet the friend did not appear on friends list? I generally approve FRs, but at times I do not do it as soon as I receive them. There were at least a couple occasions when the requester was not patient enough to wait for my approval or denial and they decided to delete their request.

most of us are visual and remember the avatar instead of the name. hopefully he/she hasn't changed it yet, since a lot of us like doing that, too. all you have to do the next time you see him is to send him a friend request. it works both ways, you know.

i am sure they will accept your apologize, i am too do the same mistake but if accidentally is ok.

it happens. accidentally, we can do things that will make us regret later on. i think it is ok to feel sad and sorry, but do not overstretch that feeling because there is nothing to be done now. at least you can start a discussion about it and earn from it. that's the positive view of the accident.

I think I have done the same mistake , too. Sadly, could not remember the username and the avatar.

I add all people who request me to be their friends here in myLot. But I used to add people who are just active here then. Lately, I do receive friend request from newbies. I just hope they stay more here because I can see most newbies just vanished or isn't active anymore. I used to deny newbies but I think about the feeling of being rejected so I just accept all people.

Don't worry, that someone may have read this post already and is ready to add you again :) Sometimes this things really happen! Just today, a friend of mine was updating about a write up he made for another friend who will be doing a speech for a class of lawyers. Instead of sending him the word file of the article, he accidentally sent the excel file on his company's monthly financial report that he was working on! Good thing it was sent to a trusted friend...and not to just anyone that would take advantage of the report! But he is so embarrassed that he wanted to just face the wall! So, move on, friend. It was just an accident! :)
