gosh, starting this month (march), it has a brownout everyday. the day will cry a river if there is no brownout in our town and also in the city. this incident will refrain me from joining or participating here in mylot. gee, this morning so as i say that it was a good timing for me to post and participate discussions. but because of the blackout, i just waited for the light to turn on, it has of no avail till i went to the school for my review. very hassle! i am not certain with the reason why it has to be like this everyday. someone told me that the electric cooperative which is the source of our electricity used to do it because they conserve energy for the upcoming election since the country is using machine for voting. what about you, what refrain you for joining mylot and participating to any discussions. share your experience guys. thanks!

I can understand your pain, because I too have undergone it and that too on the two days when we were given the chance of earning four times more than what we generally earn.On Thursday power was suddenly interrupted in my hometown, without any prior notice.I thought I would compensate the loss on Friday. But on Friday it again happened just at the same time. And both the days it lasted for four hours.

here it happened everyday this month. yes the blackout happened four hours in a day. and its schedule is not constant. it may happened in the morning, or sometimes in the afternoon or even in the evening. but today (saturday) i occurred in the morning at nine then resumed at seven o'clock. i hope this will stop. it offered a very hassle scheme. there are lots of things to do when the electricity or power is on. so thanks for joining here :)

wow! why there is a power interruption happened there during summer? is it because the source of the electricity is hydropower? and the water during that time will subside in a small amount? we experienced the same thing beafore when there was el niƱo which means there is a drought all over the country. we have blackout which happened everyday. but now we have it differently, everyday, blackout happened anytime in day for four hours. thanks for joining :)

Yes,hydroelectricity is produced here.A dam was constructed over a big river here nearly 50 years back. Now the reservoir of the dam is filled with silt, and the river goes dry in summer.Consequently my online earnings too go dry.

You are the second person that I had heard having trouble myLotting just now because of power interuption. I am sorry to hear tht. Unfortunately for me, what stops me from being online is the fact that I don't have a postpaid internet connection. :( I moved in from a new place, that is why. I don't know what is the thing here in our country that makes March and April prone to power interruption

really, i am just so glad that the internet lines is just so near in our place or else if we really is so decisive enough to have internet connection, well it will really cost us to the max because we need to pay for the wires and so as for the planks or whatever they called it. i have known a friend that they wanted to have this connection but the payment stopped them because the post of the source is far away from their house. so thanks:) yeah, blackout sucks hehe

So sorry to hear about this, i would be pissed off myself if this is happening to us here in the City. Its not only about mylot, actually but also about the heat (its almost summer) so without power i would really think its going to be so hot. I would not be able to charge my phone, i would not be able to watch tv. I might also not be able to do work and might have t spend a lot of time in the office! Have you checked with your local office as to the reason why the interruption is happening!! They have got to make sure that you all knew about the schedule so you can plan for it.

no precise time or if they announced it, i am sure we do not all hear about it because if we do - we should not murmur like this. when pertains to airconditioning, we can deal with it because our place is much fresher because of the air that surrounds us. but then, yes, it would be so boring because we cannot watch tv, not be able to get online and worst is that, computer works will be postponed because of the power interruption. but i guess, it has a purpose and just hoping that it will really serve its purpose well and importantly. thanks for joining here ;)

Hi Missjahn, sorry to hear that. We have a blackout once in every ten years or so, and I cannot imagine how life is like to have blackout every day. Actually I welcome such a daily blackout, provided that there is advance warning, and we can all go home in time to enjoy the night.

oh yes, i guess the electric cooperative gave warning. but since the whole town depends on them, they do not accommodate to tell us all. they should be informing us clearly and not just give warning to few or on air or anywhere because not all of us may know their warning and all. but yes, i must admit that when there is not blackout, i may not be able to have a rest and sleep during my free time this morning. and that my sisters may not take a rest as well because most of us in our home faced the computers when just at home. thanks for joining here :)

I thought these rotating power interruptions have already been addressed by the government. I myself can't really understand how these things still persist. These brownouts are not only inconvenient, but it can affect the earnings of some businesses, not to mention those earning online. So far we haven't experienced power outages here where I live. I hope it stays that way.

i did not hear such news like that. but i guess it has a bit truth in it because of the upcoming election. you know if we live the same country, we use machine for the voting of the candidates of course. oh yes, many of our works at home or at offices or even at factories or such alike, use electricity for their machine to manufacture products of whatsoever. very hassle really. i hope this thing will end. thanks for joining ;)

Well, fortunately for me, in my city (Genoa, Italy), does not happen hardly ever running out of power. Talking among other things about elections, we Italians have voted on 24 February. However, in that circumstance there has been no lack of electricity. Maybe the country where you live that the electric current must be rationed for other purposes? However, I understand you perfectly the discomfort that you feel in the absence of electrical voltage. In addition to the computer, consider how many electrical appliances we have in our homes! I'm sorry for you, dear friend!
