Well in taking black cohosh for the hot flashes that I have. It does give me one unpleasant side effect. It makes me sweat a lot in my face. On the other hand, there is a good side effect; that is my appetite has gone way down. It took me three tries to finish my bowl of soup. It's a regular sized cereal bowl. I can't eat after 5 or 6 bites. I leave it and come back to it later and then come back and completely finish my bowl.
My daughter can't take black cohosh because it makes her sick. It doesn't bother me other than the sweating. I took a bath snd changed into summer clothes. I went outside to take the trash out and it's a beautiful warm day.
If you take black cohosh, does it curb your appetite? I don't get hungry like I did. It must block the hunger hormone.
Your thoughts?

Well I have to say that I have never before now heard of the term "black cohosh".
Only after a search on the net, I have come time to familiarize that it is a North American plant.
Using of the roots of this plant called just "black cohosh" is mostly used to control the symptoms of menopause.
From the web page where I found this documentation, there is also an important phrase that says: "However, many experts consider the evidence in support of the black cohosh unclear and believe further research are needed in this regard.".
From what I've read, no cites the example that these roots are reducing the appetite. This did you find yourself in person!
I ask you: Have you consulted a doctor before taking black cohosh?
If you have not already done so, do it as soon as possible! This is a friendly advice that I give to you!

My doctor told me to take it. Thanks for your concern, but I am under the care if my physician. I cannot take hormones because I would be at risk of cancer. Anyone with a uterus must not take medical estrogen. Black cohosh is working for me. I experience a huge appetite suppressant with this. It seems to calm and block the hunger hormone. I'm not sure how it does it but I am no longer hungry like before.
