I get to know music from watching movies!

I keep watching movies at the moment and get to know music as well. The soundtrack in movies makes me curious of the composers and their pieces or some old to popular ones used. I go to youtube to research on them as soon as I got to like what i heard.

One of my favorite Disney musical Movie is Cinderella . I think I know almost all the songs in that movie , and I rewatched it on youtube just the other day .

I get interested in music because of the movies they are featured in. I love all the Tony Gatlif films, the music of Dario Marianelli and Yann Tiersen, Nino Rota from Italian classics, and music picked by Cameron Crowe in Almost Famous and Elizabethtown, and how about Beatles covers in I am Sam or the Chinese girls choir in The Painted Veil. The last movie I saw with a great soundtrack is Die Standesbeamtin, but since the artists are Swiss or German etcetera, the songs are not available on iTunes.

I love hearing music in movies and most time if I like the song I would also go on youtube to find the original song .

I am the same way too. I think there is something about a video clip and a song that goes hand in hand together. A movie with the right soundtracks makes the experience so much more pleasing, and helps me to comprehend the meaning of a song. I get to know music from watching television shows too. I find that I like a song more when I hear it from watching a movie rather than the song alone. Once, I did not like a band but ended up liking it when I heard their song from a movie. It is odd.

Yeah, me too. I look for their album or other songs. and would start liking them too. I also like when I am in a chill bar, not dancing clubs, where music just plays on spontaneously. I would ask the waiters which bands or group they are.:)
