I'm due for D&C

I went to an obstetrician last Saturday and I was told that the lining of my uterus thickens and I need to have a D&C in order that a biopsy will be made. I have been spotting for almost a week now and I am afraid something is wrong with my uterus as what the doctor told me. I planned to report to work today but I decided not to so that i can get the clearance required before performing the medical procedure suggested by the doctor as I want the test to be made ASAP. I don't want to wait for several days.

It is just a simple procedure. It usually just "cleaning and scrapping the excess" to bring it back to its normal state.

How old are you? Does the doctor suspect any carcinomatous change in your uterus?

I'm over 50 and had already passed the menopausal stage. I was just told that there is a need for a biopsy to see the cause of the bleeding. Besides cancer runs in my family. I have a sister who is a cancer survivor. She had undergone 8 chemo sessions.

I had the same problem I had the d and c every things ok only thing that hurt is the biopsy but onced its over u will be ok
