Do you learn English online?

I have received many advertises about learning English online. You only need a user and paying a small fee to learn. It looks simple! After getting an account, you can learn anytime, anywhere with an internet connecting computer. We can learn all everything in the website from speaking to writing. Do you think that paying to learn English online is a good way? Have you ever tried?

I really do not think it is a good way. You can study English with your Friends, you can take some classes and pay for some teachers to teach you. And you can practise your English online for free. Studying online, you have no one who really can be with you and it's not as fun as studying with your real teachers.

no, i am not interested to learn english online. for me, i should not spend money for this. i may not so good in english and could speak it perfectly, but i tried my best to learn it by self studying. i will use what the school had taught me by my teachers. reading books would be the thing to do if we want to improve our english skills. also, doing things in mylot would help you to learn more. and what else is that, you can read lots and lots of vocabularies to enhance it goodly. and besides, i do not have money to spend this kind of thing online hahha thanks for posting this :) for us to relate and share our thoughts :)

To learn anything online is good even if you need to pay a fee. But as far as for learning English online is concerned, there are a lot of FREE English online courses. I feel that it's better that you try to check out the free English learning sites first to see if they are of any good to you before you go for those paying sites. I have not tried them myself but if I come across any new words I will always search the online dictionary for its meaning and usage.

Yes definitely I learned there is no different in going to school enroll yourself than in do it yourself through internet. The most important is your willingness to learn.

I tried something called White Smoke but it didn't work so well for me that time. I think they have improved the program. For me, just using myLot and other sites has been a great way to learn English. I often use the online translator to find the right word and it is a great too. I used to study English offline a long time ago, so it has helped to learn more when I am online..

I used to learn English in a institute, I really dont know if there´s exist any difference between both. I found myself in troubles in classroom because Im talkactive person, I´m not very shy, adding that English lessons for me are too difficults to learn, I decided to take a break and then continue with my course. May I look for some info to get an online course, I not very confident in this kind of courses, but I would like to get some info before to decide it. What kind of pages do you know?

I think it works also anything about studying is good steps in learning, but mostly we learned it at school, I also notice my son learn it more just watching Cartoon Network, where I notice whenever he watched it he was just starting to laugh suddenly and I think he understands it why, he even use it a lot in normal conversation but now that he is 9 I think he learns it mostly now in school

I haven't tried learning English online so can't help you there. Me and my siblings grew up in a bilingual family. We are exposed to the language when we were still very young. And according to studies, babies can learn lots of languages than grown adults faster.

No, i haven't tried to learn english online because i had a great teacher when i was in college and she used to say that we need to practice english if we want to learn it. After i finished my studies i tried to improve my english writing articles online, joining forums, watching movies without subtitles, reading english books. I think it's possible to learn english by yourself as long as you are serious.

If the English learning software or website os well programmed, it can be quite an immersive experience. I personally learnt english by watching loads and loads of subtitled movies and cartoons... in conjunctions with what I learned at school. All of this combined gave me the ability of speaking and understanding perfect English!

Definitely a good way to learn English or any other languages. I'm a big fan of MOOC (massive opening online course), nowadays technology has really changed our lives. As long as you have access to the internet, you have access to the sea of knowledge from people all over the world. I think you should try yourself, you'll find out how amazing the online education gives you more than you ever want. Good luck and enjoy the learning :)

I've learnt English in school and at university, so I don't really need that. My father, on the other hand, uses these. But I have to say, if you don't have a teacher to speak to you, you're never gonna learn English well enough to be able to communicate...
