It is a sad season of Lent, and we meditate on the helplessness of many, while the world goes on. As we are on the fourth week of this forty day fasting, abstinence, and alms giving, we mortify a little more, for the Conclave of Cardinals to elect a new Pope.
I do hope that each and every Catholic give his/her share of sacrifice, and come Easter, when we have a new Pope, then we can rejoice, and continue to spread the Faith, that our Jesus, our Lord, had saved us.

Lent has always been a season where I've done a lot of reflection and I will give my sacrifice in a small way. However, I have never felt that I've really put everything into lent that I should. I've never been a person that has given something up for lent and I also don't tend to be the person that does the best with the abstinence of meat on Fridays. That said, I will tell you that the single day during lent where I am the most reflective is Good Friday.
