There are friendship broken apart because of unwillingness to see the point of the other party. How many relationship have been broken because of unwillingness to listen and consider? There are so many. Let us value friendships, torn down ego's and lend a hearing heart.

Oh, I know this feeling. I try to be really considerate and I try not to neglect the people I love, but most of the times (even from my family) I get back really negative thing... Yesterday they told me into my face that they don't care about me and what I'd like (and it wasn't about me whining to get a sportscar, but a really sensible thing). That was just a horrible feeling.

Sorry to hear that doroffee, but you are right even family members sometimes do turn their hearts from us. I do believe everyone have experienced your experience and my experience too, What we can do is to do the opposite of the bad things we received. Thanks doroffee for sharing

like I stated previously unwillingness to listen and understand does not jestify real friendship...thats one of the first things that real friends get understood...thats what happens in my REAL life....

yeah, unwillingness to listen and understand are unfriendliness themselves. So we could also say that friendship is a real life commitment to give the most.

how wonderful if friendship is always that way. However in real life there are separations because of unwillingness to listen and understand. Well friendship should also be governed by what you've said.

If only both would listen to each other's opinion or suggestions or whatever they wanna say, then every thing will turn out good. But most often than not, pride steps in.

hi jenny, thanks for responding. you're right. when pride steps in, nothing will be resolved without grudge. If pride is set aside, then harmony becomes evident for the good of both sides.

I know how that is. In a friendship, it doesn't matter who wins or loses or who is better. There is no competition in a friendship. A good one should bring out the best in each other. Lend support if needed but never to compete.

I agree. true friends are happy for the accomplishment or victory or outstanding thoughts of a friend. It does not matter if he finds himself second, what matters most is his heart to see the good for and from his friend.
