Caught in the act!

I've been mentioning that I've had a problem with Daisy, the 4th youngest cat, accepting Heidi, the youngest.
Well, I went into my bedroom to turn on the light - kind of like having the light on when I get ready to bed.
Suddenly, in the dark, I hear bells jingling and a cat scrambling.
Since only two cats are belled, Daisy and Booboo, and their bells sound different - they each have 2 bells on, but Boo has 2 different bells on - I knew it was Daisy.
I turned on the light and Daisy was looking at me all panicked.
Why on Earth would Daisy be panicking? She's one of our "jump in our arms and hold me cats" so its not like a feral panicking...
But I SAW the reason... she had been sleeping with Heidi!
I've seen them sleeping beside each other in the past, but always assumed that probably Heidi moved in after Daisy was asleep, or another cat had been there to be between the pair, but had moved.
Nope, Daisy was acting like she'd been caught doing something wrong... maybe we can hope this is a turn around in her behavior towards Heidi?
Probably not...

my two youngest have started curling up together on mom's bed..
surprisingly because itty bitty is so little she's afraid of the others.
she needs to stop her cussing too..

I don't know. she seemed scared, and she's not even CLOSE to feral... this is the kitten that came running up to me... she is also one of our "jump in your arms for a cuddle" cats, so I don't know what she was scared of, unless it was a bad dream... hum... do cats have bad dreams... I know they dream, but bad ones?

Ah yes, animals can be so funny. Our cat is just now after three years starting to play with, as opposed to hissing and attacking, our big black lab dog..

Most of my cats like the dogs, if not at first, then pretty quickly. Zoe loves kittens, but does seem to have a problem with Siamese marked cats - for whatever reason. Cujo, on the other hand, isn't real into the cats, but they like to sleep on his bed.

She is panick?
May be because it was dark when you turn off the light and she did not see when Heidi came to sleep beside her. Or may be she just nervous because she don't know what to do sleep with other youngest cat
well she can just sleep but it may be feel weird to her since she used to sleep alone or with the cats she already know for long

Well, Elic, that's great news. I wish our cats would sleep together just once. They flat out refuse to be in physical contact with one another unless they're fighting or playing. When they sleep, it's in different rooms or on different pieces of furniture. Chloe growl and hisses at Tiki if she even comes within 12" of her and they've been around one another for five ears! Baby Cat is the youngest and she and Tiki will play or fight, but there is no affection between them. Baby Cat attempts affection with Chloe (head butts and body rubs), but Chloe literally brushes her off, occasionally hissing, but mostly just pulling away like she'd been given a dose of cooties. They're so "uncat-like" with one another. Chloe and Baby Cat will groom ME, but they won't groom another cat. So, it's great that your two seem to have solved their differences.

Well, it remains to be seen if they really have solved their problem, well, Daisy's problem. Didn't help that when Heidi was smaller she'd cower and hiss. Daisy is so small, she enjoyed being one of the "big" cats for a while, but Heidi is figuring out that she's not so much smaller anymore. If Daisy doesn't work it out, she may be the one cowering and hissing...

Daisy has that bully reputation to uphold, she can't have anyone finding out she's really a sweetheart!
I think that's sweet. Who knows? Maybe she really IS trying to hold up that "I don't like her and that's that" attitude while secretly liking Heidi.
Reminds me of a photo that has circulated the internet for years with a bulldog and a cat lying on a sofa together and the dog has a totally quilty look on his face. I think the caption was "Forbidden love."

Oh, Daisy was so funny. She thought she was caught in the act. LOL. I hope they'll get along with each other. I only had kittens when I was young but sadly I didn't see them grow. My mother gave them away.
