Wow, thats very nice to hear, they must be really important since they've been with you for so long, they have already been part of your lives for quite some time, do you keep them in your home and let them sleep with you?

Yes they stay in the house with us, They go outside when they want...one likes to sleep at our feet on the bed, one likes to sleep on the floor on the side that i sleep on..the cat is usually on the head board, because he likes to be by the window, especially when it is open.

I can only speak for myself; my pets are important to me because they are practically apart of me, they share my hard and joyous times, they (or at least the American Pit Bull Terrier and the Cockatiel) are immensely loyal, and to be honest, I don't know what I would to without them.

Studies have shown that pets can help reduce stress, help with psychological disorders, and even help prevent certain diseases/certain diseases from worsening. Then of course there are dogs that are absolutely necessary for people with physical disabilities, they need those dogs to do household chores for them and may not have human family to help.

We have three cats, four if you count the stray who comes to visit sometimes. We love every one of them. They each have their own personality. Contrary to what many say, cats can be very loving, but it has to be on their terms. Our pets are important to us. They are a part of our family.

I like pets especially dogs and cats. Back in my hometown we have horses and chickens. For people who loves pet- pets are considered a family member and not just an ordinary animal.

All of the pets that we've had over the course of my life have been just as important to me as the human members of my family. I mean that I am always heartbroken if something happens to them and I grieve for them just as I do a human member of my family. I celebrate milestones with my pets just as I do my family. All of this said, I definitely have to say that my pets now and my pets in the past have been very important to me.

Hello Tushavi! I have a cat and a dog. Really the dog is actually owned by my brother but still, they both live with me, I help feed it and play with it so I like to think of him as mine aswell. I love them both very much and if anything ever happened to them I know I would be extremely upset. Happy MyLotting. ~AussieGal~

We always had at least one dog in our home until the last two got very ill and had to be put down. I found it heartbreaking to go through this, so we decided not to have any pets for a while. Now, we have a rescue cat, and he is very spoiled. Our pets become members of the family.

For me, I would like to include all animals (except perhaps snakes) and not just pet animals as being worthy of our fine treatment. I am an animal lover so I never singled out some animals as more important than others. Rather, all are worthy of our respect and consideration. Just my opinion though.

Pets have feelings too. If anybody could not treat their pets like their own family members, then those people should not keep pets at all, as the pets need more than just food and lodging to stay healthy bodily and mentally. The pets need their owners' love and care. The pets may be just a part of our everyday happenings, but we as the owner is the whole universe for the pets.

Pets are very important to me.. Our dogs gave us comfort just seeing their cute faces, it brought me to something relaxing feelings... Other than that dogs, we have also a lot of pets at home but I'm not close to them like to my dogs. I intentionally not to establish so much attachment with those pets because pets by nature has short life, they eventually leave you.. so I 'm just anticipating to what will happen this is to avoid hurt feelings of losing them.

Pets are people. They are just in a different outfit than we are. My pets are extremely important to me, they are my family. Since I'm not able to have children, my pets are my children! :)

If you cannot look after a pet, don't get a pet.Just for curiosity sake or passing fancy, do not buy or get a pet.You should be responsible for your pet,if you have one.

My pets are dearly beloved and are special companions. I love them so very much indeed and they are part of my family. They are both miniature poodles. Secret is male and he had mixed coloring. He is mainly white with some black patches. Magic is a female and she is black. Throughout my life I have had pets and they are essential for my happy living. When I am traveling my mom takes care of my dogs.

I've never had any pets due to allergies, and I really envy those people who can have pets, and I see that there is a really strong bond between them.

I use to have pets, but not right now, and I don't intend to have any in any time soon. They will be very important to me if I have them, and their well-being is going to be my responsibility. I guess, that's one of the reasons why I don't have any at the moment. It is task, responsibility, and willingness to take care, which I don't think I have that much peace of mind to give right now.
