The Underated Team In NBA

Most of the NBA fans talks about Heat, Lakers, Thunder, Knicks. What about our top in leader board Spurs?? Spurs had squeeze themselves into playoffs almost every year for the past at least 5 or 6 years. Tony Parker, the point guard which is one of the best point gurad in the league, i would say he is another underrated point guard. Having almost the same style and ability as Chris Paul, he is not enjoying the highlights that Chris Paul has. Tim Duncan, the strong Power Forward that is eqquiped with almost every skills. From rebounding to scoring, he is doing a good job all the time. Ginobili, shooting guard that can control the game and pace to suit his teammates. His shooting ability is rather good without any doubt. Ability to pass, shoot and control, what more are you asking from a shooting guard? I personally is a Heat fan, but i would like to promote for Spurs no matter what. I want their hardwork to be appreciated. I want people to know them as much as the stars in NBA. Comments are very much appreciated.

Derrick Rose, Joachim Noah and Loul Deng have lots of glory. Their some times do top the NBA news as well. Definitely not underated.

The Spurs have oddly become to the NBA what the Atlanta Falcons are to the NFL. They're seen as the team that can't win it all. And most of that is because the Spurs are all business and no flash. Duncan, Parker and Ginobili are three of the league's best, but they're not all in commercials; they're not creating a big media storm. And San Antonio (all of Texas pretty much) isn't a media-friendly place for sports teams. It's about the Dallas Cowboys in Texas. The Texans, the Rangers, the Mavericks, the Rockets, the Astros -- these teams don't get much exposure. Plus they're an aging team; they're not "hip" by the same standards of Paul/Griffin, Durant/Westbrook, Wade/James, etc. This has always been the case with a Tim Duncan team. He will probably go down in history as the greatest power forward to ever play the game of basketball. Who is even on the guy's level? But he's quiet. He's a fundamentalist. He'd much rather hit a fall-away bank shot than drive to dunk. He sacrifices in order to play defense rather than worrying about putting up 35 every night. In other words, he's boring to most basketball fans. And since he's still the leader of that team, the Spurs are subsequently seen as boring. But they're an impeccable basketball team. They're dangerous. I hope they win the West and go up against another very underrated team of the East, the Indiana Pacers.

I agree with you there. I mean, they already have four titles in their resume and yet they're barely even recognized. Parker is a great point guard but doesn't get too much recognition as Westbrook, Rondo, Rose and Paul. The same with Duncan, for me he could be the second greatest power forward to play in the game (just behind of Charles Barkley). Spurs is really a good team that every team should be scared of especially the Heat.
