I am confuse why the previous pope step down to the highest position of the Catholic Church and no other reason reveal by the Vatican except health problems. I try searching other reason through the help of myLot search engine. One link caught my attention. I read thoroughly the article and it said that the pope resign because he was converted to Islam. Do you believe that he was converted to Islam? I am thinking maybe it's true or the writer wanted to to attract viewers and get more traffic on his/her site? What do you think guys? This is the link I found the story: http://www.nairaland.com/1222049/why-pope-resign-he-muslim

That is the most iniquitous rubbish I have ever heard. If so-called "Muslims" keep posting such lies, how can Islam expect to have any respect from the rest of the world?

That's another black propaganda to mislead and confuse other people faith

I know that pope John Paul II kissed the Quran. It's a fact.He expressed gratitude.Well, he was very respectful towards other religions by the way, but he didn't convert or became a Muslim because of that.I know that Muslim bloggers write that he became Muslim because he kissed the holy book of Islam. As for pope Benedict XVI,he visited only two countries with significant Muslim population,he chose mostly Christian countries for his pastoral visits. His conversion is a hoax just like the conversion of the previous pope.I believe you have read things like:"The fastest growing religion in the world"."People convert to Islam everywhere" "Catholic priest accepted Islam".It's a propaganda technique which have been used by many in the history, including communists and Nazis.

May be the writer just want to impress his Muslim readers that their religion is the greatest among all religions, even the pope want to join the rank and convert to Islamic faith, at the same time attract traffic to his blog by spreading his invented lies on internet. I am sure many Muslims may turn out believe in his tale.

To spread falsehood and using black propaganda is one of the many common tactic used by this religion followers to gain popularity and attention in the world. It is not something unusual judging at the past history of it, my friend!

A preposterous claim obviously aimed to smudge the image of the Roman Catholic Church. I respect other people's belief but I find it rather upsetting why some had to resort to filthy ploy to besmirch someone's faith or reputation.

From the that article it said, “a really-old Bible in which Jesus we think and speculate that he maybe did foretell the coming of the Prophet Mohammed ...” but it doesn’t give any support for such a claim. The same claim is the Pope said this or that is not documented at all just thrown out there to the wind. What gets to me is from my own limited information. It is that there are Christian Muslims as well as Islamic Muslims, so it is even more confusing, who was doing the talking. I think the Pope made a decision based on his personal health status and not to make a religious one statement.

There is a religion called Chrislam, which is a cross between Christianity and Islam. I don't see how this can make any sense - Christianity says that Jesus is God's son and Islam says that Allah doesn't have children etc. - the two religions are fundamentally incompatible. Therefore you can't logically have such a thing as a Christian Muslim but some people don't seem to follow this logic and try.

A mixed belief and teaching? How could they manage the teaching of Islam and Jesus?

It is hard to believe that he is converted already I think at his age I guess it is really hard to really convert that easy. I still believe that the real reason behind his resignation is his health because we can see that he has slowed down already and I do not think that there is no other story behind this resignation. I would rather believe about the vatileaks scandal where the cause but for a pope to be converted to another religion is somehow a bit ridiculous.

Well I do not know about that one but I guess whoever is behind this silly stories is just to seek attention from others who may be gullible for these kinds of stories.

Just recently I know another story about his resignation and it's far from claiming that he was converted to islam. A false claim from other muslim communities. A black propaganda

Then why Vatikan doesn't make the statement, to prevent from propaganda? Lot of my friends on facebook also didn't agree with that news. Cause we didn't know the truth yet. Well, you shouldn't doubt your faith ha? No wondering, just believe.

Hi july teen: The answer is no. Actually as you may have seen today, new pope Francis and pope Benedict XVI has prayed together. Now that he is retired, pope Benedict will remain in the Vatican praying and dedicated to a contemplation style of life. You have to checked the sources before giving them any credibility. ALVARO

Though I haven't seen the link yet, I just don't think the pope was converted to Islam. I just prefer to think that it was for health reasons. He's already old. Is there no retirement age for the pope?
