With the advancement in technology and availability of different gadgets in the market these days, I can't help but notice that younger generations are becoming attached and addicted to technology, particularly IPad and IPhones. I saw some kids ages 3 onwards who already know how to use these gadgets and worse, even own one! I didn't have my own mobile phone until I was in high school and had an IPad just recently.
So the question is, should parents allow their kids to use these kinds of gadgets? Should they tolerate the use of IPads? Or should parents have alternative ways to distract kids and introduce other tools of learning other than tablets?
What do you think?

I don't think you can avoid this. It is all about discipline. Parents have to set good example. If parents themselves keep fiddling with the phone while at home or during family time, kids will think this is normal.
Limit the usage by setting time and places for using gadgets. Introduce activities that do not involve gadget for example sports.
