On World Book Day last week many children came with colored hair to be like the character from the book they liked. My son dressed up as a police man and took a book called Paul the Police Car.
Tomorrow is Red Nose Day supporting a worthwhile charity. They said no way can any children have red hair. Really? I wonder why they let the children on World Book Day. My son isn't going to be able to wear his school uniform. He must go to school in red clothing.
Why do you think the teacher said no red hair?
Do you think the children are sensible and work hard on a funny day like that?
Did you have many fun days like that when you were at school?

Does your son have red hair? Then tell the teacher that you are not going to dye his hair brown or black. It is naturally red. They are not talking about your son's school uniform. It is not made of hair so he would be not kicked out for the day. I think children are rather silly and the teacher would have to keep an eye on them so they do not fool around.

What if they have red hair to start with, do they have to dye it black? The stigma attached to red-heads is unbelievable. It's a pity no-one thought about that when my husband was bullied EVERY DAY at school for looking a bit different to the other kids.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i think the teacher might have thought that the red color applied to the hairs of the children might not go well with their bodies due to which she refused them to don that look. i think the children can go for wearing red outfits or red caps that can be a good option also.
What say?
