Have to cancel Mylot account, Im afraid

United States
March 14, 2013 5:08pm CST
I am new to Mylot and today I was reading how to cashout, although I am not there yet. It says I need a Paypal account so I tried to set one up via my debit card. Well, it says my financial institution cannot be linked with Paypal. I refuse to switch banks just for that. I was enjoying this site, and unfortunately, I cannot use it anymore.

What bank is that? Your profile says you're in the United States and I've never heard of a bank here that couldn't be used with PayPal...

I`m absolutly sure that there are several ways that you can cashout your money besides opening an account in another Bank, specially since you live in the US. Do you have a debit or credic card? Those have transbank and they can be linked with paypal. I know because I don`t live in the US and withdraw through my credit card.

Just open a new account with another bank. They would love to have you as a customer. I bank with three different banks and they all have their good and bad points so I pick the account that suits me best for that particular transaction.

You can always just keep making money and just not cash out until you eventually add a new bank or credit card, or just have paypal credits that you can use when you feel like it.

I would call paypal or do a live chat with them and ask. I have never heard of a bank not accepting paypal. I live in the United States and have US bank and do not have any trouble. I would not cancel your account until you speak to paypal first. They can help you out.

Keep writing and contributing in here first, enjoying and earning at the same time. Meanwhile, talk to you financial institution about linking to paypal. Who knows? They just might do it since paypal is widely accepted. You may be doing the financial institution a favour by making them keep up with the times. Don't be rash to cancel account because of a small setback. Persevere!!!!

Don't rush.Let the money accumulate in your Mylot account, who knows, maybe you will find a solution soon.Maybe there's something you don't know or some things that will change in the future. Why lose everything?

Paypal does have credit and debit cards of their own I have only heard of one person not being able to link their debit card to paypal and that was only because it was a prepaid debit card. I don't know of any actual banks that are in the US that cannot be linked to PP; I have a bank that is primarily online and I linked it with no problems.

Hi ! Don't panic , find ways and solutions first before making a decision. So many banks in town , if one can't be then look for another. I uses 3 banks but it was not easy for me to get verification code , i tried so many times and people here in Mylot were with me in solving for that verification code . I am so glad i am in a very cooperative community. So you better stay and observe how all things work here. Cheers !

There are a lot of ways to use Paypal credits without the need to cash it out or liquidate it. You can read up stuff about it on their site. Patience in learning is a true virtue!
