Customer Always Right, How True Is This..?

hello my fellow mylotters and friends, i have another story to share as i remember my 1st experience on my computer cafe business after half of month that i start running my business, a mid age ladies come to my cafe and as usual she rent and ask me for where she found MSoffice word but by that time i use open office that usually you find at "linux and mac OS also by that time i use win7" as she ask i go to him and assist him and tell that i am sorry i don't have MSoffice word and only my server have that but i have open office at i explain to him about open office and MS office, after many times assisting him the last question she ask is why she can paste the picture to the open office word as i tell and every body know that you need to upload the picture before putting to word and if you copy the picture you just only copying the URL, right? too bad in the end she tell me that what do you think of me i am a master of MSoffice and as i told to him even to MS you can't do that and if you would like we can test that at my server then she said some bad words and tell to him don't talk to me like that and as she reply did i say that too you as i reply i don't know if you are telling that to me or just only your expression as we talk, and she start shouting, yelling at me and as i am fighting not to lose my temper... but in the end i log out here time and as she tell its that rude you are, you even tell me that your going to log out me and as i said no need to tell just walk away don't pay bill, do i do the right thing? but any way before she go away she tell if that how rude you are i am much rude to you as i said i am not i just don't want to lose my temper and beside PHP10.00 is not worth enough to say such a bad word to me. after many hours she came back and asking for apology and beside she already save to here email drop what she doing a while ago at my shop and paying me but i din't accept it as i said i never know how much your bill as you are open time maybe next time if you are going to come back again "if ever" but that ladies never come back any more what about you my fellow mylotters and friends what is your view and opinion did i do the right thing or not? or did i have to follow that customer is always right even we already know that they already wrong? sorry for the long post that i usually don't do and beside this is my 1st long post since 3 yrs ago

well that is what they say but they never do it and they tend to thing that they are god or something well thank you for sharing this with us all here

Nope customers are not gods but they are always customers. I think you are right to say some people overstep and display very little respect when they are unhappy.

blackrusty yes right but and some ways, there are still customer Bluedoll right as i agree, but by the time she back and asking for apology she also tell that happen because she was and the bad mood

Hi in the business world Yes the customer right Even when they are wrong. im in retail and fast food. On rude customers once In a while we got To call the cops on them To get them to leave.

what helps today even with a bad back ground is to talk to cops tell them what you doing? and get there aadvice.and opion tell them this story and find out what to do from them. were I work we got camrea and audio all over the place customers know this. and it does help.

i can't call cop or even baranggay as i think they won't believe me and instead i am a complainant i become suspect to their eye LL as i have history with them and won't believe that i am straight now as i am a family man now i have to change thus fast...

Well generally speaking, the customer is sometimes wrong and you have to instruct and help the customer if you are providing a service. There is an exception. You do not need to supply a service to something that is not yours. If the customer reacts badly, all you can do is deal with the person, the best you can. I think the saying for a boss is, the boss is not always right but the boss is always the boss. Your concern might be do not loose a good customer. Hope this helped in some small way?

yeah right, but all she do is keep complain as i keep answer and help for thus complain in beside as i was thinking she still lucky unlike that other computer cafe that will not help you, or assist your needs and tell that they don't know how to do it even they know... what i mean if you do not know how it use to be, find it on your way and that was a good for them for you to stay more longer

Some people like to complain and do it very well. I think every owner has to determine the time they want to spend with a customer. Some complainers can give you a bad reputation as well and are better not as customers.

Hmm... some customers can be irrational sometimes.. but to anyone who is in the field of service, this really would be "true." This should kind of be a mantra to service providers, I think.. so they would find dealing with irrate or irrational customers a bit more bearable? Well not really bearable, but just so they'd be reminded that pleased customers are better than the mad and pissed off ones. :)

as i fight my temper and i think before i lose it, it is better that i log him out so we can both calm
