Well anyone who has read my previous post about cell phones know that I have no love for these new phones , BUT this was a opportunity I could not resist..First there is not monthy contractual payment of 2 years...Its a prepaid and it comes with 1450 free minutes with the purchase...(great) with every additional card purchased for minutes , the minutes are triple for life...thats for life...I will never use all those minutes because they rollover..so even buying a $5.00 card a month is worth it to me.. I know that I am going to need my grandsons to assist me with how to operate it,,but its ok,, they both have Iphones and are very cell phone knowledgeable...much more than I...LOL

I want to get Randy a Smart phone, but the cost is too high. I do not want to have a contract phone, but rather a prepaid phone because we do not want an extra expense. It sounds like you found a great deal. What company did you go through (I live in the US)? I wish you the best of luck.

It was a todays special on HSN (home shopping club)...I don't know if its still a special but go the HSN and look under electronics..You get the protective case, a choice of colors, (I got red)car and home charger plus the free 1450 minutes card...it really is a great deal..less than $100.00...plus I purchased the 2 year warranty for $13.00 total was $96.00 on 3 easy pay....great deal...hope you find it...thanks\

Sounds like a smart move. Companies and stores now will really give away great offers because the competition has just become tighter. I'm actually starting to wonder when the era for the smartphones to phase out would come. I guess not in my lifetime, but I still can't say for sure. Anyway, I hope you start enjoying your new phone soon.

thanks for your response..but my purchase was not free..I didn't even indicate that it was given to me free by a company or store...So I guess I am not as lucky as you are to know where they do give Smart phones away for free. If it becomes obsolete I am sure there will be some others to replace it...

I wasn't indicating that they were to be given free, I was actually pertaining to promos that goes with the phone and prepaid kits. I don't think there would be anything for free nowadays.

Hi there!! Well that is really nice! =) I mean that is a good deal whtn the phone comes free with no contract with the provider. Mine is contracted for 2 years but the phone comes free with the subscription. I am spending as much anyway so i guess i could use and i got myself the latest smart phone. ;) I have also computed if i am to buy the phone myself with installment plan and its just the same amount, i don't get to have some credits still and have to pay on top of it still so its a good choice to just go for a plan with the free phone ;) Hope you get to enjoy!! It will take some getting used to but i am sure soon enough you will already be addicted to getting some new applications for your phone. :D

I wish our prepaid were like that here they expire every month. So you are required to buy $20 a month, you don't use it you loose it. My Grandma has the lowest prepaid package and pays $20 or $25 a month, she never uses her phone (it's emergency only), and wastes sp much money. I told her she could use my phone, I had my old phone and they never disconnected it from my account (it still works just sometiimes it freezes, and the speaker on it doesn't work so you have to have it on a certain funciton - you cant talk normally it has to be on speaker phone), but it would be free and billed onto my monthly bill (if she used the phone), but she whined and complained.

I am not also that big on new and latest phones, but that deal sounds good to me. I like all the credits that come with it, and unlike the prepaid phones that I got, the unused credits expire after a while which is I hate.
