dressed to hilt but with dirty fingernails...

You remember I was talking about my experience when I was dressed to the hilt but failed to brush my teeth because I couldn't get my toothbrush which was inside the bathroom in which someone was using.
Well, this morning, I observed a slightly different situation. I was taking a public jeepney and seated across me was a woman who was dressed to the nines. She had full make-up on, plucked eyebrows, red lipstick, nice shades, nice clothes, dangling earrings, high heels, nice bag, etc. except that her fingernails were dirty and looked like they weren't manicured or cleaned for months. The cuticles were thick and around the nails were dirt. What happened? I looked at her toe nails and they were painted. How come she left her fingernails unattended? By the looks of it, I know that it must have been months since she last had her manicure. It made me wonder why. What kind of work did she have?

OMG that is totally gross. I don't care what line of work she is in nails are important to keep clean and manicured especially if you are dressed to the nines. I don't have a clue as to what she was thinking. How do you forget to do your nails if you did your toenails? Very strange because if I give myself a pedicure I also do a manicure all at the same time. 1 person likes this

I am actually wondering, if she's dressed to the nines why would she ride a PUJ? I mean, maybe it's just me but if I am wearing a dress and high heels, it will be very hard for me to step in and out the jeepneys so I would rather drive or take a cab.

Maybe she had murdered and buried someone and was leaving town pretending to be attending an occasion and in the flurry of a great alibi and a neat getaway she forgot her hands :)

Usually women are very particular about how their nails look, and in this woman's case if she was well dressed and well turned out, why indeed would she have dirty fingernails, you can't exactly hide them can you? I too am curious as to what job she does that gets her fingernails that grubby?

That is a common attitude of ladies to see whats unusual to other people. For me whatever she or he do I don't commend him/her. So I always caught myself traveling with out combing my hair or even change my clothes. They don't know me, I don't care

Hi ! Maybe that lady is just too busy with her life that she got no time for manicure . Maybe that lady is not in blue collar job but having a business of her own. Sometimes things like that are never given an attention. Just like me , i have never manicured my fingers for the whole of my life. I don't like it to be touched by those nippers , cutters , polish and all but i am trimming my nails making it always short and clean. Some are sad if they can't have a manicure but me it's just nothing , haha i can't live with a colored finger nails .

Well, it does make you wonder when you see someone dressed up really nice, and then you look at something else on them like their shoes, or their face, or their fingernails etc. and wonder why something is so. You would think if they had everything else done up they would do their nails? Unless it is a health condition I would think people would take care of how they look especially in an important Business transaction or interviews.
