People of old time were better or people of present time?

In my opinion there is nothing so. All good as well as ill willed personalities are available in societies in the same proportion in past as well as in present time. History has amazing repetition of occurrence of such personalities.

I absolutely agree with you, people in old times is better than today because they have much knowledge than now and that they are so honest and also responsible. They know whats better for us rather than some people in present because as of now they are just always hanging around with their friend or groups, they don't know much about everything.

I think hold times are better than the new people of present time. I think with time people changes and their characters. I think old people or friends of old times are better and more innocent. I think the innocence is getting absent in the new generation. I think long time ago there were lots of friends one can make and who are sincere.

People of old time were living in a world which is very different from what we are living now. I can say that ten years ago things were completely different from what it is now. So by saying that I can establish the fact that its not good to choose which time period people are better than the other. Its a matter of what was the situation at that moment to that of now.

We might not be noticing them as much but I have to agree as society progresses, people seem to lose a lot of integrity and care more about themselves than those around them. Actions speak so much louder than words IMO. We all have something to contribute to society and should work on what we can do to give back and make someone else's life better. That's our purpose in life.

No, I don't think so. In the past, men as a whole treated women as lower than them. Women didn't have the rights to vote or be acknowledged for their intelligence, the women who even invented things couldn't even be allowed to patent their inventions. Women weren't allowed to get an education. Of course some people will think it "used to be better" because they probably hate that women have equality and rights now. Also in older times, people married for money or status, not much for love. Things weren't as open minded back then such as difference races of people. In the past two people of different races would get really bad attention but now it's acceptable for two different races to be together. I think modern times are better because there is more open minded and acceptance. We still have a long way to go though, there is still a lot of prejudice and discrimination but not as bad as in the older times.

That is probably true. Maybe it is because of how people just limit themselves in getting involve with things around them. Maybe they are just satisfied with how they live. People of this age seem to be wanting more that what they actually can afford to have. And so they ten to do ways of getting it without thinking if they would be stepping on others' foot or not.

I don't think they were necessarily better, but they did have some qualities that we seem to have lost (or are in the process of losing). In my opinion, they were definitely more in touch with nature, had more authenticity in their interactions with each other, and they were able to concentrate on one thing and achieve mastery of it (as opposed to multi-tasking and doing everything in a hurry). But these are just second hand opinions, and we all tend to look up to and idealise the past when we're unhappy with the present.

I agree, we have raised our children to be hard workers, but I see them complaining about things I wouldn't have even thought of complaining about. I think as we make more things make things easier on us, the worse it will be for mankind, although there are good things that are made there are way too many things that keep us from moving and getting active.

I agree men were different back then. I am very grateful for a hard working husband who provides for our family, making it so I do not have to work at this time. I have worked in the past when times were harder but we have found out making a lot of money is not what we ever wanted. As for my children, they are hard workers, now if only I could get them to swear less.

Hello. I think it just the same. What makes it different is that men today are more vocal or expressive of what they feel or of what their real intention with the girl.

Hi, I think both are equal. In olden times society is based on traditions and rituals. By the discoveries and inventions our society is becoming modern and more dependent on machines. In olden days all the work is done with physical power. Now with modern technology our life is becoming faster and to cope up with the fast life competition is increasing. People are becoming money minded. Purchasing power of modern people is increasing. Both the people have some good things and bad things. we can not blame new generation for anything. Or we can not say that the old people are orthodox.

May be men have lost some of their virtues because women have taken more responsibilities.Before time most women were housewifes and men were responsible for the income of the family.Nowadays women manage everything making a man`s life easier and more comfortable.
