My brother will be getting married this coming July, and since I'm far from the venue of the wedding I booked early for my flight before their wedding to take advantage of the promo offered by one of the airlines. But there was a confirmation already of the date of the wedding so I had that confidence that that date was final. It was yesterday when my sister called me up and informed me that the venue of the wedding celebration of my brother was moved to other place. My sister explained to me why.. it is because of my father's suggestion. OMG! What happened to my ticket, more so with my expenses. My money became wasted. Did you experience that? what did you do...?

how far is the new venue from the original venue? nobody explained your situation to your father and consider the money you've spent? is it because your father is the one spending for the wedding?

Super far.. the old venue was on the south part and the new one is in the north part ( opposite). They explained it already with my father, maybe there must be reason of that change, maybe because my father is old already and will find it hard to travel because of his sickness. It is alright.. I'll just offer my ticket to those interested to travel. Nope. my father will not spend any single centavo for that wedding, my brother has his own money.

he only learned about the venue now? wasn't his health condition/travel limitation factored in when the wedding venue was chosen? hope you can find someone to buy it.

Wow they forgot to tell you about the change of venue. Oh well I guess you either use that one and just travel to the new venue will be or let someone use this ticket of yours so it may not be wasted.

hi there, i think what you can do is to call the airline and see if they can re-book your flight. if not, you will just have to sell your ticket to someone else. =) is the new venue final now? maybe your dad would have thought of something else again? heheh

Yes, everything is final. As far as I know re-booking is not allowed in my case since I bought it in the very low promo price..my last option would be offer it to others who are interested to fly for travel.

This has never happened to me! Why don't you call the airline and explain what happened and see what they can do for you. I'm sure they could help you so that you don't lose money. That is terrible that they would change their plans like that. If nothing can be done by the airline maybe suggest that your dad fork over some money since he is the reason this happened.Only kidding!

In thepast, it is easy to sell to other person who need it. But nowadays, when you buy promo ticket, it is not allowed to change the bearer name. In that case, I think, you need to let it be. Or may be show to your father and ask refurbishment from him...

Can't you rebook your flight? Or maybe swap it for another destination? I know if this is possible you will end up having to pay some other fees for the rebooking but I guess these things happen when you least expect them. I know it will be additional expenses on your part but sometimes we really cannot avoid these kind of things from anything.

Re-booking is not allowed since it was sold in a very low promo price. I think I just lend it to somebody who are planning or willing to travel.

That is easy, you can return you ticket to the airline agency directly, but of couse you will lose a little money on it.
