I recently went to the theaters and saw MAMA and was very surprised that it was actually a really creepy movie, even made me jump a few times which is pretty rare for me. Now it's just whetted my appetite for some more scary movies. Do you guys have any suggestions for SERIOUSLY scary movies??? Please share!

I once watched the movie CUBE (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0123755/). It is a science fiction psychological horror film. The basic idea of the film is that 7 strangers get places in a giant endless kafkaesque maze with deadly trap. I usually like scary movies, the deadlier the better and its cool to watch in dark room with full volume :-) Thanks for opening this thread. I am looking forward for this thread since I would like to know what other myLotters are sharing about scary movies..

The ambiance definately makes a difference. We're lucky, my boyfriend bought a projector and I just got him a projection screen for Christmas so that makes watching them theater like and definately increases the scaryness. Thanks for the suggestion, I'm going to check that out1!!

I love to watch horror movie. I can not stay alone after watching these kind of movies but still love to watch horror shows and horror movies. I have seen Mamma but didn't find this as scary as they showed in trailers. Insidious is also a very good movie and scary too. You can find this movie on Netflix as well.

There is a movie on netflix (I don't know if it is on dvd or anything) but its called 'Whaley House'..that movie actually made me afraid to go to the bathroom alone and I don't normally get scared. There is another movie called 'VHS'..this movie is a freakout from start to finish..there are so many scary movies..also '8213 Gacy House'..now that one starts off kind of slow but it gets crazy toward the middle into the end..lately, I've been on netflix watching all types of movies but horror movies are always my favorite...
