My daughter arrived after an hour and decided to go to bed. Now, the problem is I didn't feel sleepy.. Almost my eyes open in 24hours. I don't understand. Until now my eyes are widely OPEN..!! :( My dear friends same thing also happened to you..? Have a happy morning! :)

I did have the same experience before. Sometimes when I went for a trip or something, I would not feel sleepy or want to sleep. I could stay up all night and not feeling tired the next day if I want to. But then again I would force myself to sleep because not sleeping is not good for our health. So try and make yourself sleep even when you are not sleepy as long as it is the time to sleep.

It happened to me when I was sick with fever last week. My body felt so weak but I could not sleep at all because of the body aches that you feel all over. I was only able to sleep very early in the morning when I guess my body felt very tired of everything happening around me.

I have these nights sometimes. It seems rare for you though, maybe you had so much adrenaline through the day and just hasn't burned out yet...hopefully you'll have that nice deep sleep when the adrenaline wears out...Good luck!!!

I am sensitive to caffeine and drinking coffee from late afternoon onwards causes this to happen to me. Might this be a cause? If so restrict your coffee intake to earlier in the day.

I believe that the lack of desire to sleep may be caused by: Thinking a lot in some of the everyday problems Extreme stress and fatigue A lot of drinking stimulant drinks such as tea and coffee Try to sleep after a fatty dinner Avoid these aforesaid things, do relaxation exercises may benefit us in a quiet and comfortable sleep.

Lots of people are in the same situation. If it occurs more often than not you should see a doctor. If it is once in a blue moon that it occurs it could be you have a lot on your mind. According to a medical report I actually read this evening it says to go to bed your usual time. If you can't fall asleep within 30 minutes don't stay in bed. Get up and do something quiet until you feel yourself getting sleepy and then go back to bed. If you still can't sleep seek medical attention if it happens often. People with thyroid conditions suffer from insomnia. If you eat late and a full meal it will sit on you and actually keep you awake. Caffeine drinks will alter your system and tend to keep you awake longer than necessary. If you were put on a new medication that can change your sleep patterns and if so talk to your doctor. There are many things that can affect lack of sleep and stress is the number one factor that keeps many people awake at night.

I have this problem all the time. My sleep pattern is usually from 3am-6am then 7am-1pm and then up again until 3 in the morning. I am trying really hard to go to bed at a decent hour (11pm at the latest) because I am beginning a new job in April and will need to be awake during the day. But I can never seen to fall asleep unless I am completely exhausted! I am pretty sure I have sleep insomnia, which is trouble falling asleep... I hate it. I hope you find your reason for not being able to sleep well! Try some different techniques like listening to soft music as you try to sleep, or drinking warm milk, or something along those lines.

I have had lots of nights where I can not sleep. Whether it be just not sleepy or my sleep schedule being off or my mind just wont shut up. Even last night I was not feeling all that great and ended being up practically all night long.

I didn't sleep well either last night. But I think I know why... It's because I had a long night at the hospital. My son injured his hand during a basketball game and I had to take him to ER to be assessed and treated. We did not get home till midnight with his right hand and lower arm in cast. When unfortunate things like this happen I tend to lose my appetite and hard to sleep with my mind active. But I can't really say this type of accident is unexpected when I know it's the risk of having sons who are active in sports.

When sleep eludes you,try to count sheep, Read a book,or study something you want to remember, Write a diary, try to remember all the good things that happened to you, And write them down ,giving thanks to the almighty for each one of them. Make a list of all your enemies, pray for each one of them and forgive them with the help of the Almighty. Then peace will overcome your mind and you will go to sleep automatically.

Maybe you've had too much caffeine for the day? Or maybe you're not yet ready to sleep. Does this happen to you often? I think you should consider going to a specialist especially if this has started to affect your health.
