I was walking out of the store this morning and noticed an inmate transport van parked in a handicapped parking space. I personally have a handicapped place card on my mirror in my car but I do not park in the spot unless the handicapped person is in the car with me. If the person is not with me I don't park there. It is used for people that need or cant walk very far to the store and when you park there and don't need it you are making someone else's life more difficult then it already is. People need to grow up and quit being lazy.

My dad has a huge pet peeve about this. Whenever we see a car parked in the handicapped space without the hang card, he gets so annoyed. He even gets annoyed when they do have the handicapped car but the person getting out of the car clearly has no handicap and can walk just fine. Everytime this happens he always wishes he could become a police officer just to write people tickets for using the handicapped space improperly.

I don't blame him. I got the card on my mirror for when I drive my handicapped friends around, but they are not with me I don't park there. Someone might pull up while in the store that really needs the spot. It is rude. The problem around where I live to there are no police just sheriff for the whole parish and they cant be everywhere at once. But the guy driving the van in the picture should have known better. He works for the sheriffs department in the prison in town. He was being lazy not wanting to walk a few extra feet.

Randy is handicapped as well and it annoys us when people park in the handicap spot that do not need it. I know when Randy is sitting in the car waiting for me he does not park in the handicap space, but if he comes in with me he parks in the handicap spot. One time we went to Walmart and there were no handicap spaces left and this one woman told her husband that either he goes shopping with her or his moves the car and let us park there. The man moved and we thanked them.
