Tang suit and Cheong-sam is well known all over the world as Chinese traditional costume.But few people know that there are 56 nationalities in China,and 90% Chinese are belong to Han.But Tang suit and Cheong-sam both come from minority Man who founded the lat feudal dynasty Qing of China.The question is as the largest nationality,does Han has its owe traditional costume?Yes,it does.We call it Han suit. Han suit can trace back to 2000 years ago before the first feudal dynasty of China founded.Contary to the minorities' tight clothes,loose clothes and fat sleeve are two main characters of Han suit,which reflects the Hans' the view of life.The Hans purpuse leisure and still life,when they were enjoying the noon and flower,composing verse,panting,and playing zither,Han suit made the picture more perfect.Han suit is tied by a broad belt instead of fasteners,the sleeves are so far that they can be used as pockets.Han suit became official costume in Han dynasty,and became the most popular costume in Tang dynasty and Song dynasty. Han suit disappeared after the Hans took away the dominion from the Hans.The Hans were forced to give up Han suit,and wore tight robe and mandarin jacket.When it comes to modern times,the Hans finally replace the dominant position,but the loose Han suit had been out of date,western costume took the dominant position in Chinese costume field,the Hans lost its national costume at last. But Han suit have a great develop in Japan.InTang dynasty,Japan government sent lots of messengers to China to learn Chinese culture,it was those massengers brought Han suit they called Tang suit back to Japan,and the Han suit become Japanese Kimono,even today,Kimono still keep the main character of Han suit. Today we can see Han suit only in history TV series.Tang suit which develop from the Mans' national costume Cheong-sam has popular all over the world,thought it can't represent Han nationality,maybe it can be regarded as the representative of Chinese national costume.
