I don't understand the ending of Red Lights

I watched a movie called Red Lights and it is a nice movie in my opinion. However, I felt confused to its ending and I couldn't understand it. At the ending it mentioned: You can't deny yourself. What does it refer to? Does Tom have the super power?

Oh, it is a good movie, I think it is important a person should confidence of himself.
Red lights means stop of veihcles , and also means leagal resturant.
It is good not to deny oneself then would have chance to hope and be action and successful.
