Have you been christian the whole life or was there a point of your life when you decided to trust and believe in God? My experience is this: when I was a child I always believed in God, and I used to pray every night before going to sleep even if God was not my priority. But one day, before sleeping I made a prayer that was different from others, I prayed something like this: "Lord, you know that there are so many religions and that I may choose the wrong one since i'm a human person. But please I pray that when I'll be older, you may show me the truth and give me the joy and strenght to follow you and go always to church". Some years passed from that prayer and I was almost forgetting about it, when my brother came back from Bologna (A city where he was staying for working) and started talking about God to me and showing me through the Bible how was possible for me to know God more and follow Him. I didn't know what was happening but I was feeling like something special was going on, so I decided to make a prayer and ask Jesus to forgive me from my sins and lead me to Him. Since that days became special, I used to pray everyday and read the Bible. Then I found a church that was teaching the Bible in a good way and since that day I have always put God first in my life. He has done so many great for me! Please share your experience too, I think sharing these things can be such a blessing! Donato

To trust in God to see us through life if only giving us the strength to endure hardships does great things for our peace of mind. I know of people who are so stressed out about the future that they make those around the miserable.

Yeah well I believe God is not just someone we should go to when we are stressed, when we look for peace or something like that. If He is God, he's the Creator and he's muchm ore than that. In facts my experience was to discover Him also as a father and as Lord of my life.

Your prayer shows you in a good light.I am sure your are a gentleman and a believer.I am a Hindu from India and a firm believer.Although I seldom visit temples,I keep chanting the name of God from day to night.I have many Christian friends here, and I believe that the one who is a true Christian is a true Christian as well.We Hindus worship idols, but each of our idol is a symbol of that one God who has created all of us.We believe that God is one and it manifests itself in various forms.I chant the holy name of God,and literally feel He is present near me.I feel His presence near me and this thrills me. A great discussion.Thanks.

So sorry.I typed a sentence wrong.I believe that the one who is a true Christian is a true Hindu too. All religions pray to the same God,because He is one and the same.Religious faiths are created by us human beings. Our holy books say,all religions are like different ways that lead to the same destination.

When I was a little kid, I had like a "pretend" habit that I loved. Everyday, I would think that God was there with me sharing His time with the things I did. Like if I climbed trees He was there on the other branch. He was sort of the playmate I had since I did not have a lot. Growing up, I realized that He was always there for me so with so much appreciation in my heart, I asked if I could see Him face to face. Three years passed after that and I saw Him in my dream. It was intense. I realized after that, God listens and watches over us.

I was y born a Catholic and gre up being a Catholic. When i had one very down moment in life, my sister a born again Christian, took me to prayer meetings. That started my dealing with the born again church. Though, when i went back to the province, i realized that i have some beliefs that were changed because of what i experienced in Christian church. I am still a Catholic, but i don't practice some of their rituals anymore, though i still go to mass during Sundays and Church occasions. But some of my belief has now changed.

Hi, I am Hindu. I respect every religion. Every religion teaches us to have a faith in god. My wife is suffering from muscular dystrophy and whenever she has some problem someone comes to our house to help us. If you forget God someone comes to us like your brother to remind us about the existence of God. We can not see the God but we can feel God. He always with us in one or other form but sometimes we fail to recognize him.

Thank you for sharing roshigo. I believe this too, and as most nice, I believe is even possible to know Him, this is God's desire.

I think that God is an imaginary picture in everyone's mind, in which he is the one who is the most powerful, kind, wise, confident, honest,a very talented, best teacher in this whole world. He is the one who leads me to the truth, courage, power and to the light. I am a born Hindu, and I am comfortable with it, I have my own views about the religion. I think the religions are for the well being of every one including me. God is the best creator, and he will remain. Trusting is God can be the only reason for the success of someone in life, because learning to trust is the very important thing in life.
