Will you eat too much if you can not sure when you will have the next meal?

Today I have seen a TV program. In the program, a person can eat more than 6 kilo in 30 min. When he was asked how can he make it, he told that as he was poor, so he tried to eat as much as he can for he can not sure when he can have the next meal. I do not think it is a good habit to have too much in a meal. But to many poor people, they have to have the ability to have much so that they can wait long enough to the next meal.

hello dandan! This could be true as people who do not know that whether they will get their next meal or not they may function like that but that way you can fill your stomach but can not enjoy what ever you may be eating.

When I was very hungry, I will eat in a great speed, in that period, I do not have enough time to taste the food and enjoy it. I can only enjoy the food when I was half full. At that time, my eating speed would be slow down and I will chew the food and taste its quality. After being full enough, taking in food can become a punishment as my inside pressure will cause hurt in my body.

I as well do not think it is healthy to eat a lot at one time. I understand that poor people eat a lot at one sitting because they do not know when they will have another meal. I would think if you make yourself eat way too much that if it were me I would be sick afterwards or in pain from a stomach ache. These people must have gotten themselves and their stomachs used to it though I suppose.

I think so. The program also told that the one to keep himself from hungry by drinking water when he can not have meals. I think it is his way to practice his stomach. In my own experience, I will feel uncomfortable after eating too much, I will feel a great pressure in my body.

Hello dan dan, 6 kilos in one meal is probably close to insane - but it should be possible, especially if the person did not eat in days - but surely not recommended all at once as that would cause a great strain on one's stomach. I believe a good idea would be to just save some up for later, not all foods are perishable so it should be possible to keep in mind the future. That is it for me, so I wish you a fine day, Alex.

Oh wow, like I need an excuse to eat, Ha. Actually, to tell you the truth thet answer is yes. We did go through a time in our life when my dad could not find work so you do happen to learn to stuff it in when you get it. It's life, I think it's a survival mechanism.

I also think it is not healthy to eat a lot in one sitting. But then I cannot speak for this who have to go some days without food. It is pitiful that some people do not when will their next meal be. It is not for me to judge or say what will be better for them as I have never experienced that. For this, I am always grateful.
