I guess, I would just keep quiet and will not talk so as not to be judge...

A pleasant day Fellow Mylotters,
Little did I know that if your ears is encountering some hearing defects, chances are, you tend to speak somehow loudly, as you cannot hear your voice sometimes. And I am encountering this things for the past year in my life. Thus the reason why I tend to speak loudly is that, my ears got some hearing defects though I am not deaf but there are times, I find it difficult to hear. And because of the slight defect in my ears, I tend to speak a bit loud in our home. And this matter had become a big issue to our home though I have explained to my family members, still, they always asked me, why I am speaking under a loud tone. Well, my explanation are repeatedly told to them but it seems they don't care enough that is why they can't remember it. Thus, what they only see is that I am talking loud. That, they will react too much whenever my voice got a bit loud. Honestly I am not shouting neither it is not my intention to talk in a loud tone but, what can I do, they don't seem to give a care. Although I keep on telling to them, my ears nowadays are encountering a hearing difficulty. Why they can't even give a little understanding...

I know what you mean and it is easy to be hurt when that happens. If you went to an ear doctor and he discovered your hearing problems, why don`t you ask a certificate ? Tell him it is for your job, but show it to your family every time they missbehave

that seems to be a good decision and with great attitude and also that is quite honest to decipher things as of such

It happens friend. And it might be irritating to others when someone speaks in a loud tone no matter what. Please check with your doctor and recover soon.

Try to go to a doctor to see what's wrong with your ears, maybe he/she will help you, and then your problem withtalking loud will be solved! Until then, try to keep in mind to talk more likely like whispering, maybe this way people around you, will hear you in anormal tone of voice ! :)
Good luck!

Your reaction is the reverse of most people I know. They also have hearing defects and instead of speaking loudly, they tend to speak softer or mumble since they can hardly hear themselves. But their families understand their condition and patiently ask them to repeat again what they are saying.
I am sorry that you are a bit uncomfortable in your own home because of your condition. I am sure that if ever if you speak loud, they should have seen with your expression that you are not at all mad. They should not make you uncomfortable that way by pointing or asking out the already known. But then it is just my opinion. Maybe they are also a bit sensitive but they should mean well for you.

Perfectly understandable,i can understand how you feel and the people around you should also do the same. However you should also understand that probably they don't do it intentionally. So you should also try and understand their position. The best advice would be to visit a doctor if you have not yet done that. Hope you recover soon.
