google adsense for writing

Hi I wanted to ask about google adsense for those who use it. Is using blogger by google adsense (or is it using google adsense for blogger, lol) for only putting ads in order to get paid? I mean, well, I kept doing this stupid thing I guess lol. I am really into writing and stuff and hoped to see if I can get paid for doing so online. I don't care about the "its not good for making a living" and know about the "is to make some extra cash." So I searched for this on google and found about google adsense by using blogger (or again, vise versa, lol) for this. I thought it was like when people visit your site, the one you make on the main site of blogger where it says put a addres "****.bloggler.com" and you put a post (which I did by putting a short story) and you get paid for that. Can I use it for that? If I can (which I hope) Can it be that maybe I'm not doing anything right, my story may not be interesting, or maybe is not really for that? DANG..... Am I making sense at all? If not, let me know and maybe I'll ask next time to see how to write it in better understanding way. Thanks
