It's amazing how long I've watched this show. Over the years I've stopped and started back watching about 10 times. The story lines are great and I love that some of the characters like Victor Newman and Mrs. Chancellor have been on there since the beginning. It never gets old to me. Some of my favorite characters are Chelsea, Michael, Neil and of course Victor. Jack and Adam are the characters I love to hate. Just saw that Y&R is celebrating 40 years on TV. Way to go Y&R!! Does anyone else watch?

I watch but only for about 20 years(can't believe it has been that long); I started because I was doing exercises and watching TV made it seem to go faster and the little TV were my exercise equipment was got CBS the best. Then in 2005 Amelia Heinle joined the show as Victoria and that sealed the deal for me to watch it since she is one of my favorite actresses. I also like Melissa Claire Egan(Chelsea) and Jessica Heap(formerly Eden) and I'm upset that she was let go or left or whatever happened.

I really liked Eden too. She now plays in a show on Monday nights called Switched at Birth on ABC Family. She's really good.

Thanks for the info on Jessica. I don't get ABC Family but maybe I can find a way to watch it on the Internet. Actually, now that I think about it, I believe I saw something about that show, a clip or something, and the previous actress who played Eden was on it; of course they both could be on it now but that would mean that Jessica had joined it fairly recently.

Vanessa Marano is the former Y&R Eden who is on Switched at Birth. I don't think Jessica Heap has joined the show; it would have had to have happened in the last couple of months.

Like you, I've watched Y&R off and on for years. Right now I'm in an off phase -- I just got sick of Adam and was getting bored with the storylines. I do find myself missing some of the characters from time to time...I worry that if I wait too long to tune back in my old favorites will all be off the show (worrying about Jeanne Cooper retiring kept me watching through a few dull periods but amazingly she's still at it!).

Yeah I love Jeanne Cooper too. Right now her storyline has her with dementia. Forgetting a lot of things. She's still going strong. I've noticed that her husband isn't on their a lot though. Hope he's doing alright. I do get tired of Adam, Victor and Jack but I really enjoy a lot of the other characters and their story lines always keep me interested.
