Which is Much Safer-Hair Rebond, Cellophane or Hair Relax?

March 26, 2013 1:57am CST
I have been blessed with a naturally straight hair. I haven't had my hair rebonded yet although I have been contemplating for years on having a hair rebond treatment. I had three cellophane treatment already in more or less twenty years. I haven't tried hair relax despite my friend's promoting the process. Thing is, I'm afraid of the harshness of chemicals used in beautifying hairs. Are they really safe? Are we not compromising the integrity of our hair while undergoing hair beauty treatments?

For me, milk hair re-bonding is more safer than cellophane and relax treatment. I gives some good side effect into your aside from shinny and straighten it. It has a milk essence that is good for your scalp and later on absorb by your hair. I've done such treatment twice already and I don't see any bad effect into my hair.

You said you already have a natural straight hair. You don't have rebond treatment, it will only damage your hair. But if you want to have a healthy hair, just use some hotoil treatment like coconut milk. In my case I used extra virgin olive oil every night.

I think if you don't need one (you said you're blessed with naturally straight hair) then you don't have to go through one. I have gone through all you mentioned and I think for those with straight hair, the best would be cellophane. Hair relax is not good, it damages the scalp and the hair. Hair rebonding is the same with hair relax except that it has lesser strength chemicals. Again, I think you don't need one. One of my cousins who had natural straight her was tempted to go rebonding. Her hair was never the same. It was ruined by the treatment because she didn't need one in the first place. Now, she has no choice but have her hair treated because it would be really frizzy and unmanageable. So, don't be tempted. Be thankful you're blessed with good-looking hair. Have a great mylot experience ahead!

I go with the opinion of other people. If you really don't need to have it done, then don't because all of their treatment cream/solution do contain chemicals. As far as I know, I haven't heard of any organic treatment for hair rebond, hair relax or cellophane. If there would be one then that would be a big WOW.

you are blessed because you don't need to have hair treatment to make it straight. i done with hair relax 2 years ago, i could say that it was turned out okay but after a year my curly hair back again. i don't know if i should repeat to have hair relax to have straight hair.

I should say that you better not try hair rebonding nor hair relax. These two will surely damage your hair, will make it dry and unhealthy. I have tried all you have mentioned except cellophane but I regretted doing so. My hair becomes frizzy and dull. I envy your hair. Just use coconut milk and make it stay for 30 minutes to make it healthier and shinier.
