trying hard to maintain the tidiness in the house....

Our new house is now presentable, I can have anyone come inside the house. Part of it is because of my helper who knows how to tidy things up. The floor is spot-free, the clothes in the cabinets are properly folded and arranged, the shoes, etc. are in place. We'd been here for a month only and I hope to sustain the cleanliness and tidiness of the place even when there is no helper around. Are you able to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of your homes always? with our busy lives, I know that this is a tall order, but I have done it so far for a month.

Keeping the house tidy all the time is every mom's dilemma. Most especially that school is out, so kids are always at home and would be grabbing on ti things and putting them everywhere. I am tired of having to go through them all the time. So sometimes, I end up raising my voice so that they cold fix their mess.

I can imagine how hard it is to have many kids around Jenny.

Have a trash can near him so he can throw those bits of paper directly to the garbage.

My youngest is 8 years old. Sometimes he tends to do a lot of his "art works" coz of trying to make those wrestling belts and other stuff. So that is really one thing I hate having to see those paper cut outs on the floor.

I can just imagine your home being immaculate my friend, and I know the cleanliness will be a high priority. I am very house proud and I found it a total nightmare with my ex who was the exact opposite, I was forever cleaning up after them, fortunately I wasn't working at the time otherwise I don't know when I would have found time to clean and wash and tidy up. The house never stayed tidy for long and it was a never ending battle! And yet I got no thanks for it, it's a thankless task.

If I was working there's no way I could do as much cleaning as I get through. How my Mum manages it (as she works) I do not know. Never fails to amaze me how clean her house is as my Dad doesn't help at all with cleaning. He might get down on his knees and clean the fender around the gas fire but that's about it. Oh, and he's a good window cleaner too. They have a window cleaner for the outside but Dad does the inside. I wish I could hire them out lol.

Hi Janey! I can see that you have inherited your parents' cleaning qualities. My own mother wasn't a good housekeeper.

I live alone and my flat is always disorderly. The flat is always dust free though. I am bare feet in my house so i make sure the floor is always spotless. It is not only the floor, because once I started cleaning then I also get to see the dust on the shelves and everywhere. No matter how quick I should prepare to go to work in the morning, I also make sure that the kitchen sink is very clean and dry. My bathroom has to always be clean too. Because i know all the corners of the house are dustless then I am so confident to throw my clothes anywhere. I don't like eating in the dining room so I eat on the sofa on the floor or even on my bed. Every time I got guests in my house, I tell them that my house is a mess and they'd be surprised to see that it is so clean so what am I worrying about. A girl had to stay once in my flat when I was away for a month. She just slept over for a night. I left my key to a friend and told him he could do anything with it. A female friend of his that i also knew needed it. I was so embarrassed when I knew she stayed there. But she just said, it was not a mess at all. But she fixed my bed and some of my clothes piled up on the kitchen chairs to give room for her to sit. She even tuned my guitar. Sweet girl. I wished she didn't have a boyfriend.:)

That's a nice sharing Taiwan. Why don't you try just making friends with her at first, be close to her, who knows? He is just a boyfriend and not her husband.

Oh goodness I try so hard to keep my house clean but with 3 kids, 2 dogs, a husband and a Childcare Business it is VERY difficult!! Its a lot of work to keep my house clean with everything that goes on here! I do clean every day, but when the end of the day comes sometimes it doesn't look like I did anything all day! Drives me crazy...

I'm not a constant cleaner, so for me it's kind of hard. I'm messy and I'm busy, so I usually make order and clean up the whole thing once a week... twice if I feel super orderly :D.

I used to do that but now with a helper who does the cleaning everyday, it is a lot easier.

I like to have my house in neat and tidy condition. We have no helper in the house but we maintain it clean and tidy. It is very comfortable living in a clean and tidy house. But, it takes a lot of effort to maintain it.

It does, but I think it's all worth it Alpha. It is indeed nice to live in a clean home.

When I was still newly-married, yes. I had all the time after work, to clean and tidy-up our condo. That went on for about a year. Then I got pregnant, then I had all these complications, I could no longer keep up with my hubby's mess. Then the baby came. I was losing sleep. Then the baby got bigger and bigger. And as my baby grew, so did the mess. So..... oh well!
