I hate my phone so much...

So I've had my phone (Samsung Gravity T) for a little under 3 years now. At first I really loved this phone; its what T-Mobile refers to as a "phone first" phone, at least that is how it was explained to me. It is technically a smartphone but since it doesn't have wifi capabilities or the ability to download other apps aside from the TMobile store it can't be listed as a smartphone. I noticed about a month ago that my phone has started to get a little slow and sluggish. I turn it off for a few minutes and turn it back on; it speeds up for a little while and then slows back down again, its really annoying. My phone also has the full qwerty keyboard so I can type text messages really fast, but when I am sending the text the send button is unresponsive so I can do 1 of 2 things at that point. Slide in the keyboard and then hit the send button or hit the "OK" key on the keyboard; that also gets annoying when I am trying to watch something and send a text message at the same time; it takes a little more time for me to send it and go back to what I was watching. I know what phone I want next, but I know it is going to be extremely high. I was looking at unlocked phones the other day and this one site that I had been on before has some really good prices. Does anyone know about those China phones? I hear that they can blow up in your pocket though which has me kind of weary of getting one. I could really use a vacation from TMobile as well; I have been with them for 5 years and they are absolutely horrid (although I do like that they don't have roaming charges). I checked their prices for if I was to get another phone with them and they are seriously too high and since we are on a family plan, if the other party on the plan doesn't get a smart phone, I can't either. So many desicions to make. Who else is shopping for a new phone? What are your experiences?

hey you really can't blame the phone you know cause you've used it for 3 years right..its time is almost one..and its a good thing you're looking into a new phone..but if its a chinese phone you're interested in buying..i would say...definitely don't go for it please...they may be less expensive and may have many features..but they surely lack quality and life..and especially class as well...don't go for it..save some more money and go for a samsung galaxy mini or samsung galaxy s...less expensive...but has class..long life..smartphones with android..really good ones

I'm looking into the Samsung GS4; I know it is way more expensive but I am the type of person that craves new technology.

Hi there angel! Oh give that phone a break, i think its been years and you have got to replace it already anyway. hehe ;) i have recently shopped for a phone and i ended up getting the Samsung Galaxy S3. =) probably if you got an extra you might want to be able to watch out for the latest so you can maximize the features of the phone you will get.

My uncle just got his GS3 as well; he had his Blackberry for the longest time. Yeah I will give the phone; a break as it falls down a flight of stairs when I get my new phone, whenever that may be. lol

i have samsung q. It is a cheap phone but nice phone. it has already wifi and 3g. the touch screen is quite okay and the picture is quite nice also and also the videos are clear. i think it is just like $150 for now. i think it is quite cheap already. don't buy the other samsung like samsung Y or samsung champ which is cheaper but the screen and the camera is not that good.

Thank you for the input I did want the Galaxy S when it first came out but I can't find many places that even sell it anymore.

That is some old phone you have there. I think its already time to move on and look for another phone. That phone already served you well enough and I think its fully depreciated if you will use accounting terms.

Yeah I know, I haven't upgraded yet because the other person on the plan (who pays the bill btw) is dragging her feet on if we will stay with TMobile or not. This is actually the second Gravity T I have had because the first one just started acting strange and I couldn't do anything on it.

I'd say go for a SG3 or a Nokia phone. The new Blackberry is good too.

Good to hear about your phone story. As you mentioned you hate your smart phone due to various reasons. I have my Gprs enabled handset and like it a lot. At present i don't have any idea to change my phone.
