Hi mylotters!
One alarming incident happened 2 days ago when someone entered in an open main door of the 2nd flor of the building where my neighborhood are staying, the intruder entered the premises and knocked each and everyone's door while everyone there were sleeping . When 3 of the unit owners woke up and open the door by such knocks, the intruder was shocked when the 3 doors opened and to his surprise he punched the face of one unit owner then scaped.
After that incident, everyone's roamed around the premises to locate some trace or evidence to identify the intruder, because of the help of the neighbors, they were able to identify the intruder and they filed a case against him by such scandal he did and injury he inflicted to the unit owner.
Good thing my unit is located at the ground floor, but still that incident happened on the same building were I'm staying... I'm still scared and with that I decided not to go home for holyweek vacation to fix my locks for my units to avoid such kind of incident. In some way that intruder ruined by vacation..
have you experienced the same scenenario ?

Oh! That is scary. What was he up to? Knocking everyone's door while all asleep and punched the owner after door was opened and escaped? It sounds weird and scary too.
It will be good if the door has a peephole so the owner could check who is knocking on his door prior opening it. Was there any iron grille gate installed along the main door? At least there are some protection against the intruder.

there is an iron grills with their main door but it was open since it is a common door so they close it at 11pm. that incident happened at about 10;30 in the evening.
I agree they should have that peephole for security reason.

people who live in condominiums should always be careful to keep the gate and the main doors locked because of this. when i am not expecting someone and the bell rings, i do not open or respond to it. some criminals have even pretended to be plumbers or electricians just so they could enter a premise. we should be careful because there are really lots of bad intentioned people now.

What happened to that intruder? What was he trying to do? It is scary when you have a unit that opens directly and you face the person who is knocking directly. It is better to have a peep hole or something so you could check before opening your door.
