Any ideas on what I can sell?

Me and my husband are trying to make some extra money but can't decide on what kind of things to sell. I have thought about making candles and jewelry because women love that kind of stuff! But what else? Because men don't care about those types of things. Any ideas?

My 2 cents. Instead of taking products you think that the market would like you need to take those niches that either you know a lot about or that interest you and do your market research first and foremost. Know what the market wants and then fulfill that need. Never try to fit a product to the market because the odds of failure are way too huge. Starting an online business or brick and mortar and not different in that it takes a lot of hard work, major dedication and either a lot of time and a bit of money or a lot of money and a still a lot of time. I am reading a book right now that is interesting and that I think you could greatly benefit from in this regard and before you go any further. A bit of a different slant than my response above but none the less is a must read for anyone thinking about going into any business. Cashflow Quadrant by Robert Kiyosaki When you are making your own wares to sell, it is a good way to get something started but if you want to make job replacement sort of income you are going to have to think bigger and outside the box. Selling crafts is a hard way to make a living because of the time and expense that you never get all back therefore it is hard to see any sort of real significant profit that way. Better to buy whole sale and sell that way. That is another whole ball of wax but do read Cashflow Quandrant. It could change your life for the better. At least give you some straight goods on what's really what. All the best to you.

Men are not that into little ornaments and stuff like that, they'd rather buy something bigger and professional. Maybe male jewelry. But you have to bear in mind that the arts and crafts DIY business is so full nowadays that you may not achieve that much profit, if you just start out with makin stuff like that, because you have to get into it, get used to it, and there are a lot of people who have been doing this for ages, with really special goods out there.

Not a big $ maker but on ebay I just sold $10 worth of box tops for education for $14 minus the few cents for postage. I always clip coupons and always forget to use them so I sold like 20 coupons in a regular envelope and made $5. I have seen people selling soda can tabs on ebay as well. I am not sure gor how much but every little bit helps.
