If not myLot, then where?

Hello, friends. I have been with myLot for about a year and a half now and have had my good days and my not-so-good days. I have started discussions and responded to discussions. There have been heated debates, and some very kind wonderful things too. If I had to say, I think myLot is one of the only social discussion sites that really has the right to call itself one of the best paying social sites on the internet. When I joined over a year and a half ago, there were only about 235,000 members, where as now they have reached well over the quarter of a million mark. I am happy to see that so many people love this site. I love this site, but... I think also that FanBox is another great social site that is a little like this here, but much more interactive. FanBox is like Facebook and myLot combined. With many other things that make it stand out. Friends, and Fans. There have been times where I have been on FanBox for hours and had only been here to answer old responses to discussions I had started. I think I am addicted to FanBox, and just come here more now to see how things are going. I have been with them for over 4 months, and really like what they are doing. Plus, there are millions of members and such a great place to be. I will not ever leave myLot, but I think that FanBox is getting in my blood. Have you all joined FanBox, and if not, why?

I hadn't heard of it before so I went to look. It doesn't tell you much on the front page. I'm always leery of sites that don't spell out how they work and what one must do - too vague for my comfort! Good luck with it.

I found some reviews of it that don't sound so good: http://www.yelp.com/biz/fanbox-san-diego

Hello, peavey. I read the reviews and I also posted my review there. I gave it 4 stars and would have given 4 1/2 but they do not have that. The reason is because I am still new there and am still learning... I stand behind them and will stand behind them even thought the site is a little confusing and hard to "get" at first. But over these 4 months I have had a better understanding of what is going on and how to work well. Everything takes effort and work and some of these posts I saw were just because they didnt really read the rules and facts. The one guy said that you MUST pay a fee...this is simply not true and the only reason you pay a fee is IF you use the community funds they provide. It is to help newcomers and does NOT even have to be used. It is like a loan and there is a 1.5% interest rate attached to it, IF you use it. But you can earn without using this IPL, Or "I'll Pay Later". You will make a little less of course, but you can earn even without using it...So some of the reviews are not true and even out right lies about the site. Thanks for looking it up. Have a great day.

Good luck with it, then. I just didn't want you or anyone else to get tangled up with something that would cause more trouble than anything.

I have to say that it is like myLot in many ways but it is set up a little differently. It takes time to get things under your belt and have all the things you need to succeed. I sent you a friend request here, so friend me back. There you have Success Coaches, Teachers, Power Users and a whole lot of other cool things...Amazing!

It may be better to stay focusses unless social websites is your life and your work. How many sites can you contribute? Is there a way where what I contribute in myLot gets duplicated in Fanbox to earn money? Hmmmm, then it might be worth to join so that single effort, double pay?

You never know when your going to learn something. I enjoy coming on here and talking. It's how I get in contact with other adults out side of my husband since I'm with my kids almost all of the time.

That is good meeting someone that is already been here for a year and a half. :) Have you already cashed out? How much? I have observed that MyLot has a slower way of earning income than the other blogging sites. Meanwhile as a Fanbox member I am not so active because I cannot understand their IPL system. Do I need to pay for it? I already turned off the IPL, so my balance is $530. I am just waiting for 90 days for it to fully mature.

I have cashed out. It was the $10 but I will be doing again soon. I didnt understand the IPL eaither but I got it. The issue for most people, including myself, is that if you use it, you need to pay the loan back along with the fee... It is small. Since many do not use the IPL, they do not have to pay any fees.

I do not know, but I most probably will try to find some other sites. I am happy that I found myLot. I think I had been member of myLot around five years and had got paid for a couple of times.

Being here for over a year, I have made one payout but that was my own fault. I was really needing the money at the time and I guess I got excited when I saw the earning potential. I just started posting all over myLot and I made the payout. Now this second payout is slow coming because of my not being able to be online all the time...

hi codymac I have never heard of FanBox but I am strictly a loyal mylottter so I just stick to here as it does pay and its easy to use.,I am on Facebook too but find it awfully complicated which mylot is not. I do make some money here to help pay my cable bill so thats really my main concern,Too I have a lot of wonderful friends here and wish to keep in contact with them all the time.

I haven't been in myLot as long as you have. I enjoy it here and I do have my off times though. I have a lot of emails of notifications I haven't gone through recently. I feel lazy to go through my email so there are some responses that aren't responded. also I haven't felt the drive here except today I am feeling good to be here. A start of a new month gives me the incentive I need to be pumped up in myLot again. I haven't heard of FanBox. I may look at it later just to see what it is. You've got my curiousity peaked.

I understand all you have said. FanBox is great to blog and post, but takes 90 days for payout...

I just open fanbox. For the homepage, it is all about earning money. It seems that there are lots of people earning a lot on the website. But I doubt about this. So just let is alone, I love mylot and will focous on mylot only, haha

I decided not to join. I've been having lots of fun here, plus I have Swagbucks and Bubblews now, plus Poll Buzzers if they ever start sending me polls. So I think I have plenty to keep my occupied.

I agree with that too. If you do not want to wait 90 days... MyLot is great for the fast monthly pay.
