Today is Easter Sunday, which means that the Lord has risen. Me and my family first go to the Church to hear the Mass then prepare a delicious meal for lunch. In the afternoon, we do easter egg hunting at home using the eggs we decorated the night before. We don't really join the malls' egg hunting because it's too crowded :)) So it's just us family. Plus, it's a good family bonding :) How about you friends? How do you celebrate Easter? :)

Today my mum cooked a wonderful roast dinner, we had pork with all the trimmings, in the afternoon we visited our elderly neighbour and took her some flowers and some cakes, and spent a couple of hours chatting over coffee with her. I didn't get any Easter eggs, but I wasn't too worried. We still have tomorrow which is a public holiday, then Tuesday it's back to normal. It always goes so quickly.

Yeah my family and I celebrate Easter too .. I am one of Catholic young adult in my church so my church asking me and my friends to prepare Easter Sunday .. We prepare a lot of things, and egg hunting is one of our list to do .. I love to spending my family day in church, i mean we have 7 days a week, and it means every single week, you get 5 days for work and family, 1 day for your family and yourself (Saturday) and 1 day for your family and God (Sunday). Be good family and good people for your God, right :)

What activities do you prepare aside from Easter egg hunting? :) And you're right, God is only asking for one day from us. Why not offer that day to Him? :)

My family Easter's werent ever very big because my parents aren't religious at all. I am some but it's nothing that I feel a huge motivation to celebrate Easter. I'm actually working an overnight tonight and Easter night so it will definately be a scaled down event in my house. I'm hoping my boyfriend will be awake when I get home and if he is, we will color our eggs then. It's supposed to be a gorgeous day so I'm hoping to get out of the house and take a nice long walk. Other than that, I'm experimenting by making a roasted chicken with a jalepeno butter marinade that I think my boyfriend will like. :-)

It doesn't really matter whether you have a big celebration or not, I think the most important thing is that Catholics remember the essence of Easter and celebrate it, even in the simplest way possible. And by the way, the meal you're going to cook sounds delicious and makes me hungry. For sure, your boyfriend will definitely love it :)

Christ the Lord is risen...more than 2000 years ago. Easter Sunday is a service in remembrance of that day. He is not rising today. He is risen!!! Err....egg hunting and easter ? Somehow the eggs seems to me quite secular in practice. Anyone can comment? Is it to relate to new life? Maybe I should search online for an answer.

To be honest, I don't really understand the relationship between egg and Easter. Maybe because egg symbolizes a new life? I don't really know :)

we go to church and we just stayed home the whole day..we had planned to go to the beach the day before but they cancelled it, the beach is too crowded on sunday and especially on easter a lot of people go there to celebrate. it was just like an ordinary day for us.

The good thing is that you were able to go to Church and you're spending time with your family :)

Every year me and my parents go to church together. We listen to the sermon, sing songs and wish our friends. Back home mom prepares a nice meal and we thank God for all He has done for us. Then almost every time I rent a Dvd was watch a movie. That is how every year goes and so will this year.

Apart from the celebrations, I do think that Easter is still about being together as a family and thanking God for everything He has blessed us :)

Hi, After a few days off from work, I feel resurrected from that long and arduous task of making things go in their proper place. There is this report that needs to be revised and refused to get in order and I had to take it home to get it organized. I spent the rest of the week working on it in between the services in the church and just this morning I had it printed before breakfast. Now I can take a breather, I think the sea looks inviting with its blue-green crystal clear water, let me see, fins, snorkel and mask, all set to go for a swim. This afternoon would find me back in front of the keyboard banging away to my favorite game or making posts here.

Good to know you were able to finish your job, just in time for Easter. It's nice to relax and take a break once a while, and it feels much better knowing that everything that needs to be done is done already. Enjoy your day! :)

Just another day for us. We don't go to church and don't celebrate Easter.
