Does you online job interfere with your other responsibilities?

When I decided to try doing some online jobs, I thought it's going to be easily handled since I'm at home. I can handle myLot and online writing but when I started getting some freelance jobs, I realized that it can be pretty demanding too. I still make it a point to spend some time with my baby and attend to her needs but there are times when I find it hard to do so because some employers requires tasks that should be done at the very instant. It's a good thing I'm a stay-at-home mom so despite demanding employers, I can immediately focus my attention on other responsibilities once the task is done. But it does take a lot of time management skills because handling different responsibilities all at the same time can be really stressful. How about you? How do you handle your other responsibilities?

You are perfectly right. Online jobs can be demanding when the job orders are urgent. I often have to skip lunch just to be able to submit my work on time. There are also many instances when I am unable to accomplish household chores because I am beating the deadline. Lucky for me that the children are now grown-up and can help with cooking and cleaning. On the other hand, online work can be fun and financially rewarding. Once the employers find out that you are able to produce quality work on schedule, they tend to prioritize you when it comes to tasks. The fact is, I am working for the same employer for close to two years now.

So far, I've been with my employers for weeks and I'm glad to know that even after the job I applied for has ended, they're still contacting me and asking for my help. It is financially rewarding and convenient at the same time because I am able to earn while staying at home. Though it's hard to juggle it with my mom duties since my baby is still a toddler.

If the employers continue to contact you after the job has been finished, it means they are more than satisfied with your efforts. It only goes to show that you are an excellent employee. You only need a little time management on your side so that your baby won't be deprived with attention.

Wow, that's good to know :) And yes, time management skills is really important. But the good thing about working from home is that I can immediately attend to my baby after I'm done with work. And I usually work where I can see her.

a pleasant day ayeeesha, honestly, i feel rattled at first when i have decided to make a full blast to be an internet marketer. but as time goes by, i have learned to deal with it. as i was able to adjust my time according to the Client preference. although it is quite difficult as they are all demand quality time. so in this regard, i have decided to drop some accounts and choose only those good quality ones.

Hello there! :) I'm still adjusting and weighing my options and in the meantime, still trying out the different possibilities available. I'll probably drop the other job contracts in time but right now, I'm still not closing my foors with the other options available :)

Some of these work at home jobs, can be very demanding, and that want all your attention to the work that they give you to do,so you have to work around your family, when you have a job to do, like this online, it's just like working at he office for some of thes companies.

That's true. The only difference is that I work at home and I can immediately attend to my other responsibilities as soon as I'm done with the task.

I work online while I study to get some extra money, and for a while I had a hard time managing my time. Later on I was able to sort out my priorities and I put off working online for the summer.

I think at first, it can be difficult to handle online jobs alongside other responsibilities. It's a matter of adjustment and proper management of time :)

It really is. And there's no rest day or vacation leave when it comes to being a mom. Although I love being a stay-at-home mom because I can take care of my baby and at the same time, look for various ways to earn while at home :)

I usually handle my irresponsibilitys with first making my most important ones first on my list then going down from there. I work at hollister so i dont know much about super important jobs as in office work but i usually put the most "important" first.

I don't really have an online job, all I do online to earn a little is Mylot. I do have online classes though, but they are scheduled so they help with time management. But I do think that it could interfere with home responsibilities simply because to have a job means to render time. As you said, there will be employers who wants the job done right away and the deadlines online are usually tight. I guess the plus here is the fact that you won't need to spend time travelling but the downside is they do pay lower compared to an actual desk job. But yeah, once the job is done, you'll have time for your baby. I think online jobs are good for mothers. But yeah, a great deal of time management must be considered. Have a great mylot experience ahead!

Time management skills is definitely a must :) and I'm still newbie when it comes to working from home so I'm still adjusting. I try to finish the job as efficiently as I can so that I still can attend to my other duties. The pay may not be as big as the actual job but I'm still glad the employers who hired me are paying so it's worth it.

Hi Ayeeesha, that is why I do not take on freelance writing. It is tougher than writing and posting your articles online, even though the money is great. I do not like to work under a tight deadline since i get a lot of these in the workplace. I think for you, the money will come in handy but please do not take on so much jobs that you cannot cope.

Of course :) I try to balance it as much as possible. It's a good thing one of my employer lives in the same country as I am so I can easily text her and tell her I won't be able to do her task. And I'm very thankful that she understands it :)

So you are with a client-worker kind of job? That is also good if you are decided to work online on full time. I personally, do not go for this kind of job scheme because of my work schedule. Learning about time management is the best thing that you can do.

Yes, and I do some other sidelines too :) I write for Expertscolumn but when I started getting freelance jobs, I seldom submit articles. I spend most of my free time here in myLot and playing with my daughter :) I can handle the tasks, it's just that I didn't expect that it would be this demanding. Maybe, I'm still adjusting :)

I only do mylot and some smaller sites, so it does not really interfere that much with other responsibilites... but with that being said, sometimes I get so carried away with mylot that I kind of forget to do stuff that are on my to-do-list, and I read less, because I really want to amp up the amount of money I'm gonna withdraw :).

Me too! I purchased lots of books at the start of the year and I haven't even read at least half of them. I was too busy with my online thing :))

I can also juggle different tasks but it's difficult when it comes to being a mom. Although I am able to submit the needed tasks, there are sacrifices that I have to make.

Well, handling responsibility is a no-easy task. Your situation is hard since you are taking care of your baby. To me, I am doing a daily routine so I would never forgot what I should do, and in that routine, myLot and other online job is included. I am updating my routine every start of new week. Well, I guess what we really need is proper mind set and time management. Good luck to you! :)

Proper mind set and time management is really needed. And yes, it's difficult when a baby is involved because being a mom requires full attention. That's why I work where I can see my baby so in that way, I'll still be able to see what she's doing.
