How to celebrate your Birthday?

Canada
March 31, 2013 6:11am CST
Today is the Easter Sunday and my birthday, so coincidental it is! But the long commute to the company exhausts me, I have to pay off my sleep debt every weekend, so I sleep late on Sat. and Sun. My parents are living far from me, and the city is unfamiliar to me. I really don't know how to do with my birthday except yawning. :( Could some guy share your happy or unhappy Birthday experience? I'm staying in front of my screen for that.:) Happy Easter Sunday!

Happy birthday It's sad if you will let it be I do not like to make a fuss on my birthday. My wish is simple -- go to church, hear mass and then have a simple dinner with family. There was a time when I was away from home. I did not want to go out but some close friends came so we went out for dinner. I suggest that if you have some close friends there, why not go out and spend time with them. If not, just make or order a special meal for you or go out and dine somewhere then go home and laze in bed -- "me" time.

Hi, Rainegurl. Many thanks for sharing your simple way to celebrate the bday. And it really remind me that it has been a long time for me not to pray. I will also go the church after all things are settled down next weekend.

Hi, Happy Birthday. You are alone on your birthday. You must miss your family on your special day. We want everyone should be with me on our birthday. My son was also far away from us due to his job. Sometimes on his birthday we were not with him. but he used to celebrate his birthday with his friends. Now we are together. You tell your parents whenever I come to visit you we will have birthday party.

I called my parents and got their greetings with incomparable warmth. Thank you dear roshigo58. I'm trying my best to make more friends now in this big city and I believe that there would be a birthday celebration next time!

Is it your birthday today? Make plans with your friends or family after work. It's depressing not to have plans on your birthday. Sometimes I have had to work on my birthday but most years I try to take the day off.

Me time is my birthday time. Either a movie with the husband and son or just on my own, good time to catch up on a girlie flick, maybe meet up with a friend for coffee or window shopping lol

Happy birthday. My father has the same birthday as yours. Three of my friends celebrated their birthday today as well. We actually have the same sad experience - I celebrated my birthday (just like my past birthdays for many years already) without my family because I live so far away from them. It's a little bit sad, as you've mentioned, all you could do was to yawn. Hope you could find friends and relatives who would greet you while you're in front of your computer. Happy birthday again and God bless..
