have you ever had an encounter with someone and you thought "oh i feel like i saw you somewhere "
have you ever had an encounter with someone you`d met only once in the past and after sooo many years and even after all these years you were able to recognize each other
this has recently happened to me ,I was in the subway on my way to a certain place and i sat next to a girl that looked too familiar and apparently even she thought I looked familiar so we kept looking at each other for a while and we both asked "do i know you ?"
we spoke about a lot of stuff and I discovered we went to the same school before and when we both mentioned the same school she suddenly remembered " oh I remember you we sat together before an exam once and talked i was older than you by a year and you were so nervous "
suddenly it`s like something clicked in your mind and you actually remember the girl although you 2 met only once in your hole life

I've experienced this before, but it's not really that interesting. Back in college, it's very very rare that you get to have the same classmates the following term. I've had this dude who never really spoke with me for 4 terms already as a classmate.

UMM maybe it`s not interesting cuz as you said you two didn`t speak so you don`t really care about him whether he recognizes you or not so it doesn`t matter

I am pretty good in remembering faces of people from High School. I guess it s because most of them were my classmates since Grade School. But whenever i see them, I am a bit shy to come to them. Unless they recognize me, then I would keep up with the conversation.

I`m the same actually cuz I was always the very quiet girl in class so sometimes I wonder if the person still remembers me I do meet some of my high school classmates coincidentally in college but usually unless they recognize me first i never greet them

I always have this kind of feeling on people. In my line of work I get to meet a lot of people. Some really stick in my subconscious whatever the reason. I am definitely bad with names but I do remember faces well. It was just last night when I went out to a bar with friends then a guy sat in front of me and we both gave a "do we know each other" look. He is a friend of one of my friends.
So we started talking about where each other comes from. He went ahead in asking if we met before. I was not so sure I said but it feels like we met in a picnic one autumn afternoon. That was two years ago. I met a lot of people from different countries then and he was one of those who I got to talk to when it was already starting to get dark. But I do remember that we had a sensible talk. He left this place and went back to France. Now he is just back for a 3-day visit to a friend.
One time, a guy was looking at me for a long time and finally offered his arm. I reciprocated it with a warm handshake but I don't remember where I met this guy. He then said, I am a boyfriend of your colleague. I was so stunned of how he had grown so maturely now. The last time I saw him was that he looked like a 16 year old. Now he has beard and his physique broader.

your line of work sounds interesting
and I know the feeling of that handshake incident I was approached once by someone and she was like " hi how are you long time no see " and we kept talking and said our goodbye and I still didn`t remember who she was till i went home

yes it happened to me couple of, that i could suddenly recognize the person i just meet whom is actually i have already encountered from my past. Sometimes i also got embarrass if i could point out exactly the whole details on where and when we meet but i will just continue sly say that "i think i know you, i just can't remember exactly when and where and then finally you will eventually recall quickly the details...

yeah it`s weird more like magical when you recall all the details although you two might not even have been close in the past but you still remember that certain moment in which you two met

Well such experiences with people have been rare for me but sometimes there are certain places that look a bit familiar to me even if it is the first time that i have visited the place.
Recently I visited my native place for the first time in my life but suprisingly there were several places in that city that looked so familiar that I felt that I had been to the place earlier in my life.It might be that i had been listening so much about this place since my childhood that my mind developed a picture of it's own of the place.But whatever may be the reason for this it was a bit surprising.

must be very confusing but still i think this type of work makes your social circle a lot bigger than someone who works in an office

I have been through that many times. I also have met someone here that I feel like I have known forever. I feel like we knew each other and we have been so close but we have never actually met before. It is weird but really good at the same time. :) I just take these encounters as signs.

you two must have a lot in common that`s why you felt like you knew each other for a very long time i know that feeling and it`s a very good feeling
