More hours of daylight helps me have more active afternoons!

Last night we had a time change over here and we turned the clocks one hour forward. This means that we have more hours of daylight in the afternoon and today I decided to enjoy my free Sunday afternoon with a walk! When I was going for cycling last summer, I was following a route in the nature, that was leading a small church in the woods, right above my city. I decided to follow the same route for my walk and I felt great! I was walking for about one hour and I did some running as well, but I didn't want to pressure myself from the first day. I was happy to see that other people were also in the road like me, for their afternoon walks. Even though I exercise at home, I enjoy those short walks very much and I think that they are refreshing. I am planning to convince my friends to join me sometime because it is better to walk with friends, this way the time will pass faster! How did you take advantage of the first "big" afternoon after the time change?

I enjoy the longer day time hours, the only time I do any walking, is when I go shopping, other than that I am here online, working earning my money, which I really enjoy a lot, I like spending all my time, online this makes my day go by faster.

Hi Tlilly! I also spend a lot of time online but I need to take some breaks and move during the day! I started a fitness program at home in order to get fit by summer, so walking is a great exercise in addition to that! When I go for shopping I am so excited that I might walk around the stores for hours and don't even feel tired! lol So I think that shopping can also be considered as a form of exercise!

Let me see...I was able to sleep more in the mornings, I guess, and was able to work until late in the afternoon as long as it is still bright outside. I know it is just an hour more of extra sleep, but it is very precious for me. And it is just an hour more of work in the afternoon but that is definitely a big difference if spent very productively. But then again, I could just be offsetting it, haha!

haha :) I guess that when it's dark outside, our body starts to lower the rhythms and it's getting prepared for rest and sleep. But during the day we have more energy to do stuff, work, be active and enjoy our time even more! Thanks for your comment, have a wonderful day! :)
