I have tried several times in the past to adhere to a specific diet plan but failed miserably. That's because I began to eat items that were not part of the original diet plan due to cravings for more tastier items! Hence I failed each time. Did you succeed in following a diet plan in a strict manner? I still feel diet plan is very important for longevity.

Doctors always insist on the significance of diet plans though. At the same time it is all the more becoming difficult to control the palate!

I am sticking to a diet. I am on Weight Watchers which gives you some room to play. You can eat what you want but you have to keep track of the points. It means I don't have to cut out things but can choose to. I tend to chose to lose high point items such as pizza and what not but I will admit I work in my cheese and popcorn..lol

I am trying to stick to diet plan now a days. I would suggest you to go for diet plans for five days and off diet for two days a week if you are not able to go for diet all days a week. Also try to walk more and walking is good for health.

It is a very good suggestion. I think I can try that. Eating out on weekends is a good and welcome idea. Adherence to a strict diet plan on the remaining days...I have nothing to lose!

Diets don't work. The one thing that the weight loss industry is good for is making some people very rich... at the expense of the gullible and desperate. I'm thin. I eat what I want (and, often, a lot of it), but what I want is often healthy. I long for roasted root veggies such as sweet potatoes and carrots; I yearn for maple syrup-coated Brussels sprouts; I delight in veggie stir fries; I devour whole wheat pasta and veggies; I snack on tempeh. Understand that eating healthfully is for life. Choosing to eat mostly healthy foods should be a daily thing. Healthy foods are tasty. If they are not, blame the person who prepared them.

Weight loss plans that emphasize suppression of hunger are the right ones when it comes to producing the desired results. Cravings for more food should come down if we are to succeed in weight loss.

I'm not following a diet plan but I am watching what I eat. I use myfitnesspal to track my calories and exercise too. I've cut out soda, a lot of fatty foods, eat whole wheat and brown rice instead of white bread and white rice and the same goes for wheat pasta. I've upped my intake of veges and fruits and try to keep to that on a weekly basis. Sometimes it's hard but I'm trying.
