Do you think kids are too easily labeled? Do you think medication is always the answer or should we try to find other alternatives?

My twin sons were diagnosed when they were in the 6th grade. Prior to that diagnosis it was said they were active boys. Medication is not always the answer. There are side effects from the meds too. If there is addiction in your family the child may become addicted to the meds. Not a good thing. Counseling helps, but it needs to be consistent and the child needs to be open to it as well.
