My sister calls me for his son's assignments..

hey guys, i feel so good whenever my sister calls me whenever my nephew has any doubt in his assignments. on many occasions, i have helped him in projects that got him many awards and accolades at school.
She makes it a point to call me up whenever there is any kind of doubt, be it in his studies, drawings or any subjects. She said that she cannot think of any other person than me whenever it comes to solving his queries. Even i take equal pleasure to solve his queries, and wherever i am and whatever i must be doing, i also reply her back as quick as possible so that he does not face any problem because of my delay.
i hope i keep helping him as long as i m there in his life.
What r your thoughts regarding this? Do u also help your siblings or nephew or niece when it comes to their studies or any assignments? Plz do give your valuable thoughts!

Hi, my friend! So we have another one thing in common-- tutoring nephews and nieces. I am also the person whom my sisters in law call whenever their kids need help with their school work. And I am just pleased that they think that I am always able to give them such big help.
Sometimes, I have to admit, that I feel frustrated coz they seem to just rely on me and not teach their kids to do things on their own. I mean, I also have my own kids whom I help, but I tell my kids that they should learn to make their own homeworks and research projects om their own and then I will check on it before they submit them to their teachers.
There is nothing wrong in helping kids with school work. But we should not let them to get lazy in doing it on their own.

Oh that's great to hear that we both have this thing in common. My sister never calls me on a regular basis, she calls me when there is a huge doubt such that she is not able to sort it out, besides i can understand your problem very well and all mothers should also instruct their children to carry out their jobs to the best of their efforts otherwise they can turn out to their parents or someone they rely upon and ask for help.

I actually enjoy helping them with their school work. I fell like being in my schooldays. But really, I wasn't that studious when I was younger. It was only when I was in College when I got really serious in studying.

yeah even i enjoy helping my nephew and wherever i am i try to help him as much as possible, i feel like i am doing my own assignments so i take huge interest in helping him. Even i was not that studious at school, i started taking my studies seriously very late just like u.

honestly, when my cousins approaches me to let me help them in their assignments , sometimes I get irritated especially when Im doing something important and when im busy. But there are also times that when im in good mood that I really help them when they ask me something or when they ask me on their assignments.

Good to know that you help them too but the irritating part is not good i guess. There may be some light moments where they may get hurt during such situations at such times. so please better be careful . Instead of getting irritated you can say them that you are dealing with an important work and will help later. That's all .Simple words may give them comfort .

Ha ha ha, i can understand your situation very well and who would not get irritated if they r disturbed midway any work, it will not only distract your attention for the work but will make u irritated at the end of the day. But i think most importantly u do not do it intentionally and that matters the most.

That's so good. Indians share a special bond with their mamaj's as we know. so sisters children are always more attached to them. You are ding a good job. Hope you nephew is equally enjoying as you do.

Ha ha ha, yeah u are absolutely right, in the Indian scenario, nieces and nephews have a soft corner for their Mamaji and u can gauge that thing in my case as well. But i am happy that i am helping them as much as possible. Yeah my nephew often says that i am the best Mamaji in the world, ha ha ha. My niece is 2 years old and i am sure i will also help her in the future.
