Day of Firsts / myLot

Now , my birthday isn't until the 5th (April) but today I got my first birthday card in the mail from my mom and brother. Then I was on Face Book and received my first IM from a friend wishing me birthday wishes. So it seems like I'm celebrating my birthday before my birthday! Oh and speaking of "firsts" you only turn 50 once, so that'll be a first!!

It sure will. I had my first 70th in February but no one believed me. I also remember when I was in my 50s and it was the first time I could get the senior discount and free checking at the bank, they did not believe me. Had a much easier time at the stores with the senior discount because of those old ladies dying their hair because my hair went white prematurely.

Days of first are full of excitement and sometime awkward. I still remembered my first day at school as a 3 year tiny tot, I was crying all the way till the school was over. My first day at college where my seniors never let my breath easily. And on birthday, my face book account is flooded with wishes. So I never log to my face book on my birthday. I reply to all on the next few days.

Happy Birthday Jodee! I wouldn't complain at all about receiving Birthday wishes a lil early. It's better to be early than to have them forget all together. You'll just have to wait and see what else the mail, e-mail, and FB sites have in store for you tomorrow.

Thanks pals for the birthday wishes!! I quit smoking about a month ago,so hopefully I'll be living another year with good health without smoking!! Thanks for responding!!
